Amazing fight by many and good games by many.

They weren't terrible, yes they made a mistake or two like most players did, but they did a lot right.

Kerridge yes. Graham- no. I think we had no choice today.

Totally agree we have little choice. Reasonable selections. We are two seasons away from weeding out the hard workers with insufficient skills.

Is that from Bolton?

More poise and less Pannell and we win.

We all know Kerridge and Grahams limitations but both fought hard today and managed to find the ball, when 4 or so Blues couldn't get up to 10 stats. I don't think Kerridge made that many errors and was a good 5th midfielder for us.

All up just not polished enough - too many kicking errors.

Main pro for me - Charlie.

Marchbank had a shoulder reconstruction last year - hope he hasn't reinjured the same one.

The way we're going about it this year we'd have be pretty close to filling the bottom end of the 8 next year. It won't take much more improvement.

Marchbank looked like he should have had a concussion test. That looked worse to me.

Bolton: This time last year it was a 10-goal loss to Adelaide. Today shows that we're bridging the gap. #AFLBluesCrows #BoundByBlue
Bolton: We've led in the last term in four of our losses this season. The next step is to win these games.
Bolton: There were many things in that first quarter that didn't go right.
Bolton: I think Plowman, Marchbank and Weitering are OK. They just had some sore bodies in that final term.
Bolton: In spite of the loss, we feel we're a footy club that's hard to play against. We didn't give up the fight.
Bolton: Jones has been consistent for a month now. We're really rapt for him.
Bolton: Sheehan held up OK today.
Bolton: I've been proud of Gibbs all year. He's playing strong footy.
Bolton: Adelaide scored a considerable amount of goals from turnovers. We'll review that heavily.
Bolton: I'm not putting a ceiling on what we can achieve this year.
Bolton: We're here to win games, but there are signs saying we're heading in the right direction.

A lot to like in that game. The Crows are an experienced, strong side at the peak of their powers and we gave them a hell of a scare. The future looks bright, the kids just need a bit more time.

Pretty good overall but the 4 or 5 costly mistakes meant we lost. Really disappointing by Sumner, we are playing a man down persisting with him or Pickett, time for other options up forward as neither of those have worked all year.
I dont agree with others and think that we need to persist with Graham, he is getting better and covers a lot of ground.
Lamb back for Sumner next week.

By my count, they scored 3 goals from free kicks when our players tried to take on the field and muscle their way through the pack. One was Docherty who gets clear 99% of the time. Very frustrating.

When the best we can say about somebody is "he covers a lot of ground" or "he gets his hand on the footy a lot" then that player is not good enough. Can anybody give me one damaging piece of play by Graham? I understand he is an acceptable selection considering our available cattle but he isn't getting better and is a liability for us unfortunately.

Like a lot of our losses, the endeavour is there, but it's our ball use and errors that cost us.

Great to see a team that doesn't quit, no matter what.

More midfield talent plus forward line presence is the key. The ingredients are there, but they need to simmer for a bit before they're ready for serving.

Agreed. I am actually dwelling too much on the negatives. There were a lot of positive today and a lot to like.

If only KJ had maintained his good early season form instead of dropping off considerably. With injuries to ASOS, Rowe and Willo it would have been great to give KJ the chance so many on here wanted for him. The coaches comments from the VFL the last few weeks haven't been great.

Lots to be proud of today, fought it out but just lacked some polish when it counted.
I wish we would stop giving sides head starts.
Kreuzer was huge again, as was Docherty Gibbs and Cripps.
We were coming off a 6 day break compared to their 9 days.
Curnow has to get the rising start nomination surely.
Umpiring was crap.
