His age isn't an issue. He's their coach, not their boyfriend.

Look at Allan Jeans' record.

You know - you raise some great points Dannyboy....
I think that at the end of the day the "lost" comments come from the very thing that's made us one of the polarizing clubs of the league.... It was so hard to listen on the radio yesterday to the WHOLE game, not just where we were officially spanked, for the simple fact that it was seemingly "un-Carlton" like....

To paraphrase the ABC call:
1st Quarter
"And we have a winner in the Sunday Sweepstakes, it will be Tony, who said 18 minutes for the first Carlton goal"
"Hang on, why does he win, they still might not kick one"

"This is a woeful game of football from two teams who look like they've never played the game"

2nd Quarter
"NO! Why kick it back 40 metres? What good is that doing for your team, or the game?"

"Fevola open, and he chips back because he's not even looking forward for the option - and now he's got it back and all the forwards are manned up"
"Would you sign Lappin for 3 years Stan?" "Well, at least he's fighting for them, giving it a go - that's more than you can say for a lot of the team"

3rd Quarter
They've just given up (ad nauseum)
"They were in it until half way through the term, then they just imploded"

4th Quarter
"Well, they've been remarkably consistent, that's 2 goals in the first quarter, 2 in the second, 2 in the third, and 2 so far in the final term"

"They get another goal, and they've still lost the quarter, but at least they got some points on the board"

I may have some of those wrong, and in the wrong quarter, but you get the general feel for the commentary from it - no one can understand how a club that prides itself on the effort it puts in on the field can keep turning up and putting in displays like we have been..... and hence we get the two big theories - 1) Tanking and 2) The coach....

Disappointing - let's hope we turn up ready for 4 quarters this weekend.....

Any players that Pagan has "lost" can stay lost as far as I'm concerned.

They can wander wherever the bloody hell they like, as long as they wander our of my club for good.

Pagans press conference had a few good points in it yesterday.

One point of interest was the culture at the club and do the players get along with each other.

Pagan went on to say that sometimes he wonders whether they have homes or not and they are always back late at the club playing ping pong or what not.

THEY SHOULD STAY BACK AND PRACTICE GOAL KICKING OR GET IN THE GYM AND DO WEIGHTS UNTIL MIDNIGHT NOT PLAY BLOODY PING PONG !!!

Even AFL players need downtime too. If you were not performing well in your job, would you accept it if your boss told you to stay back until you got it right. That is unfair what you have written.
