cooloola, you'll learn about garthp.

He simply MUST engender all his posts with a world-weary air and, of course, the eye-rolling emoticon.

Doubtless he'll respond to this with a...... hmmm let's see..... perhaps a roll of the eyes?

Yes its easy to be sad about our plight, but there are positives.

In no particular order :

1. The pressure is pretty much off the team - we know exactly where we are.

2. We do have a core of young players in the seniors that will take us forward.

3. There are some young players in the Bullants and Bullants Reserves that will end up being regular Carlton players. Some of these might be very good players.

4. We will have pick 1 of the draft and a priority pick.

5. It is possible that Hawthorn and Collingwood might still win enough games not to have PP.

6 We have first crack at the PSD.

7 We do have a coach that have enormous experience in building young sides.

8. We have beenn talking to some big name players about coming to CFC. Now we are bottom, with first crack at the PSD, we effectively have a negotiating advantage over the current teams of targetted players.

Theres a swag of positives. Can anyone come up with more.

So rather than be sad, Im taking it on the chin and looking forward.

Today my 6 year old was at he Bullants Ressies and seniors. Spent a lot of time cheering the bullants, saw 2 wonderful vivtories. Hevisited the rooms after the match. Glenn Bowyer took a shine to him, patted him on the head happy that this little boy had such a keen interest in footy.

My young lad thinks AFL/VFL is the coolest thing of all and loves the Blues as well as the Bullants.

He was also looking at Setanta, I said that he will be in a Carlton jumper next year.

He is a very loyal Carlton man at 6 years of age. He will grow up seeing a new young team in a very up close and personal way, growing from very humble beginnings to hopefully finals / premiership.

What could be more positive than that?
