We all don't have a source at the club and know what he's asking for! He sounds like he wants to sign unlike Lappin who is more content to whinge to Harford about his contract and sulking through this season.

He realised his body won't carry him another 3 years and we should keep Ian Prendergast if you're so enamored of people who are great clubman.

A squib who is constantly overlooked by Blues fans and never delivered on his promise.Or never run as hard or flat out like Camporeale has at his peak through the centre of the ground to get the ball.

A lucky footballer is Campo.. fell into a champion team and was shithouse after that champion team fell apart...

Houla is a footballer who has just about alwys been in a shit side and has shown more in the last three years than Campo...who wishes he was in the 1995 premiership side till 2001

Ahhhhhhhh timing...

I thought this thread would struggle to reach one page, I should have realised it would struggle to stay positive by the second page.

Houlihan debuted in 2000 when we were the 2nd best side in the league so using a shit side as an excuse is pissweak. The guy is a Blouse and doesn't run hard and turns the ball over far too easily for an experienced player.Something Camporeale never did when "being carried" by a premiership side he was a vital part and in his first five years.
Camporeale's best form is so much better than Houlihan's it's laughable to compare the two.

Houla was great in his debut 2000.
Campo has been crap in the last 4 years.. when he hasnt had the good players.
Average player in a great side.
Now he is an average player in a crap side.
Houla has had a better last 3 years than Campo...

Come on Synbad in all seriousness now you're just being biased.

I understand your frustrations with Campo and to an extent agree with you abotu his lack of leadership etc but I think even you would have to say that Campo has been good for Carlton. OK we all know he's overpaid too you've made your point well known hundreds of times!

At the end of the day he's played well over 200 games for Carlton though and anyone who can do that in my opinion deserves more than a modicum of respect. I disagree that he's been crap in the last 4 years...I actually think that until this season, his performances in the time we've been at the bottom haven't been crap at all...they're not what they once were but they have been far from "crap".

He has his flaws like any player which frustrate but I reckon overall he's been a good player for this footy club and I have no doubt about that. There's no shame I don't think in looking better in a good side, especially when you're an outside player, I'd think this would be quite normal.

I will remember Campo as a good servant of the Carlton Footy Club, that's my opinion and my view of him, yes he isn't perfect and is paid too much but to be honest I wouldn't knock back what he's getting. He's already stayed at the club when he could have left in the past. In my opinion he deserves to finish his career at Carlton.

he can fin9ish of his career at carlton..; the only person stopping him is himself.
he wants way too much.... and he said himself.. well through his manager. basically if they dont pay me what i want ill explore other options.

So if he can take the option of leaving (if he can because the offer doesnt suit) why should i support a rag like Campo???

Hes already been given WAY TOO MUCH!!!!

He has done nothing to help Denis in coaching the club.. and along with a few other senior players around the club have been undermining the fabric of the football club.
People think Denis is... but its the fat cats.
Denis and Collo have no choice byt to rule with an iron fist or get caught up in a black hole of nothingness to appease a couple of selfish overpaid senior players...who cant hack it and get into the ears of the kids.

They gave him the B and F and All Australian status in 2000 5 years after his debut, Houlihan will never reach those heights.

Houla has had a better last 3 years than Campo...

When has Houlihan ever been better than average and what was the topic of the thread again? Houlihan is the biggest receiver in the league and that effort against Franklin was the final straw.

I bet if you looked at % of receives Campo wins hands down..
Take away kicks taken from playing on from kick ins and just kicks from in play from both players...and i reckon Houla has a higher per centage of getting his own kicks.
Campo is a cheat!!!!

Thats why he has a take it or leave it offer heaps less than he wants.
If he was worth his salt the club would have offered him something better...

Cheated on the backs of Fraser Brown , Greg Williams, Brett Ratten, Craig Bradley and Anthony Koutifides...
Now he is cheating on the back of Andrew Walker and Simmo...

Thats what you call a cheat... a guy that has never put his hand up to do the hard yards.

He is finally exposed for the imposter he has always been.

I hope Sticks is not part of any negotiations with his business partner / premiership player 1995 and fellow self Australian ,Camporeale.

Houlihan has never been put onball for a season in the middle rather out on the flank perfecting down hill skiing. The guy would drop his bundle on the ball and to defend Ryan ahead of Camporeale has to be a troll.

When have you seen Houlihan put the foot down to get to a contested ball and hit it breakneck pace with an opponent at his side? :?: Never! Too weak and even Franklin had him spooked.

To call Campo a cheat is an insult just because he was overpaid for being a premiership player in Elliott's twilight. He hasn't adjusted to his role as an accountable midfielder under Denis and Parkin deserves some of the blame for this.He was coached to his strengths rather than his weaknesses and this is what earned him AA honors and a B and F.Something Houlihan won't achieve this because he never runs hard and looks like he's just going through the motions.

Campo is a cheat...
Who has been found out!!!

Only the naive still are being tricked...

Bugger all contested ball he wins for a guy of his age and background.
wont sign a fair contract... been grossly overpaid for too long.

Houla might go down the same 'cheats' road as Campo but hes learning from the best

What earnt him AA honours is a great midfield that did all his heavy lifting.
What won him B n F was a joke... Kouta should have won it by a country mile....

Campo- the story of a man at the right place at the right time....

What use is a contested ball stat when Hulme and Carrazzo couldn't hit the side of the Barn?
And to say he was carried by others is like saying Diesel,Ratten or Brown were good ballwinners, because of Allan or Madden feeding it straight down their throat!
And you're Post count is still Scott Camporeale!
