I don't really reckon his game was that much better than anything he's served up recently, we just happened to win.

I gthopught he was significantly better in that he actually did something with the ball this week, such as putting it where Kouta could mark it from his play-on, and also hitting a lot more targets up-field. If he hits targets and doesn't get caught hesitating with the ball, then his game is much more effective.
And he is under instruction to use those tactics when taking the kick-ins, as Stevens is as well. He did it a lot better on Sunday.
