From the AFL site:

Defender Bret Thornton will return to action for the Blues against Port Adelaide at the MCG on Sunday.

Thornton proved his fitness after being sidelined for two matches by a calf strain sustained against Fremantle in round 16.

Named in a back pocket, Thornton is one of three additions to a squad of 25. Also coming in are Simon Wiggins and Justin Davies, both of whom have been named on Carlton's seven-man interchange bench.

The Carlton selectors have otherwise retained the 22 who defeated Richmond in round 18.

Is it possible that the players who count have been told that it wont hurt your career to put in a shocker. Wiggo would have made a good replacement for Matty last week given his performance. Simon has the guts and sometimes that can inspire. God knows he could could clean someone up going hard at it and turn a game. On the flip side he could also cause a crucial turnover. Unfortunately I dont think you could trust him to tank. Its just not in him given he always seems to try his guts out.

Houla was shite for the Bullants last week and doesnt deserve a guernsey.

Who are the Bullants playing this weekend? Wiggo has been good for them and it might leave them depleted :)
