Examples. Ill give you examples

SMOSH vs Henely Metro West under 15s

Henely, bunchof the most skillful indaviduls ever. Watch out for these names in the next 5 years. Bradely Ebert, Sam Davourn, Matt Broadbent.
Im dead serious on these 3 guys. THEY ARE GUNS. Thats is all Ill talk abut them thoyugh.

They defeated SMOSH by about 5 goals.
Smosh have no skill at and we are prob the second worse team in the comp. Played beastuifaly together, Henely had about 5 people gather all thei possies and only 4 scorers.

You wanted examples 8)

PS anyone got this weeks sides yet

Mate use fair dinkum examples. Ill even give you one. Port beat Brisbane last year. Port is full of stars but as a team I dont rate them. They took on a team full of champions but who for the past four years played as a champion team. Port only got over the line becuase the Lions were mentally and physically tired. They are still a side that needs to be feared.

When people refer to the champion team over team of champs they refer to sides whilst appearing even in talent one plays for themselves and the other plays for each other. To submit an example based on 14 year olds who are unevenly matched let alone physically mature is ridulos. I stopped playing footy at high school because whilst I could use either side of by body I was too small 5ft 2 and 50k dripping wet at 16. At 21 6ft 80k.

So we've conclusively proven that individual champions can get a team over the line. It happens in the Under 15's and it happens in the AFL.

Splendid. Then we're all agreed that we need as many high draft picks as possible.

Great. So we're all of the same mind that to get picks 1 and 3 this year would be a good thing for our future team over the next decade.

Brilliant. Now can we end this tiresome, circular discussion?

Hey Boris,

Your last 2 posts have got to be the worst bunch of dribble I have ever read. Why don't you get off the red cordial, re-read your posts, then re-post them properly. You either don't go to school or sleep during classes.

Just in case you don't understand english, let me tell you why I have made the above comments. You said that Henely with 3 Guns/5 possession getters beat SMOSH who have no skill and are the second worst team in that comp.

Is that an example of a Champion Team beating a Team of Champions? :?

BTW does BM Jr stand for Brown Muzzle Junior?

Club 29 i tend to agree with you i was thinking this was DP's plan to run the season to get draft picks ... but i have had a rethink... Dennis wouldnt want a spoon on his record ... he certainly dosnt like to loose and muck up his record or i guess loose in general .. So maybe it isnt Dennis who is driving the tank.... Hmm maybe we need to look higher up... Who heads up the match commitee .. who has started to work on contracts ie no longer will the blues over pay players ect .... Who has made coments on the status of the list ie C-Z grade ... i reckon maybe the directive is from Collo and What would Collo say to convince old DP
* Yer being played a shitload..
* Here are the 2 Draft Picks JE took from you
* I Need good reasons to reduce the Player payments to the seniors
Ect prob a few other resons ..
And from what i heard Collo has been havin more influence in the MC this year than previous years
So maybe i like many have targeted the wrong Tank Commander lol

Wolfe as I commented Murphy would save alot of problems and face for us on the proviso that the Hawks dont win again. I accept that he is the best available according to those in the know but the spoon doesnt sit well for me especially if what we are talking about is fact.

Yer i admit it hasnt been good with me but i just have resigned to the fact that this year more so than any other has highlighted big problems that i think by bottoming out will be addresed and given a proper fix and not a bandaid ...Simply put if ever a team need ed to bottom out it is this one .... and hopefully it will put the team back on track to be competative in 2006 I wouldnt have wanted to bottom out this year if what i saw this year was cometative but lets face it i cant see any other solution for 2005.

If this was a business i would look at it in the same way.. Let the company cut back to bottom and rebuild and put things in place to get improved results in the coming years not try and cut corners and try and show something better only to see the company collapse next year because it tried to hide its problems. But anyway i think that it may not be DP's want more Collo or someone else at Board level...

Can someone please give me a quick summary of the Western Bulldogs last 2 matches in 2004?

what silence..no one remembers...right...ever heard of a kid called Ryan Griffen?

Sticks, it's not about the couple of matches that we might win which will be forgotten in a years time ... it's about what a win does for the club...

...it's about the looks on the faces of Simpson and Bentick and Fisher and Carrazo when the final siren sounded last saturday
... it's about the boys learning how to win
... it's about getting some reward for a long, tough year
... it's about not fostering a continual losing attitude which in turn breeds bickering and in-fighting (evidence of which we've all seen recently)
... it's about learning to love the joy of winning and to not accept defeat.
... it's about low profile guys like Livo and Teague and French and Digby being able to walk around their heads held high.
... it's about comraderie and mateship and going into battle with your mates and coming out victorious
... it's about the very reason why we love the game in the first place.

Having said all that I too want that priority pick, but it's just not as simple as losing a few games, it's about what else you lose, those intangibles that are such an important part of building a succesful club.

like dont you have to have something to lose it Teddy???? :?

You talk about camaraderie and pride and all these pious words but there isnt a sign of them so far this year.

Really.. when i look at these posts with people kidding themselves i really laugh out aloud... HARD!!!!!....

What you want is for more talent to come into the club to help out the precious little talent we have compared to other clubs. (ie Waite , Walker, Fisher, Betts, T Bird etc)

More talentless recruits and these blokes wont see any light at the end of the tunnel.

Nothing beats talent except more talent.
More talent is found early in the draft.. (especially when you get a freebie pick as well)

Some of you sound like millionaires lighting your cigar with a $50 the way youd shoo away talent from the club...

The fact is we are all just chatting about our preferences, it has nothing to do with what the club does or doesn't do.

I heard that the club only decided to offer Denis another contract because BM thought we should....

Now theyre looking at ways to terminate his contract because BM doesnt think Denis can coach.

PROOF that the board base their decisions on TC (especially BMs intellectual analysis threads)

Blue Mark> (one step ahead of ) > Board...

Hi.

Tanking the last lot of game is nothing but a gutless reinforcment of the synthetic nature of the draft process. You get a good list and play well until your list is stifled. Then you tank your games to get better draft picks?

Sorry, you play footy to win. That is all you have to remember.
Anything else is weak. Anything else undermines this Club.

A draft pick is nice, but first choice isn't always everything and is always the best. Creative drafitng is just as useful.
