Average disposals 2005

Hahn 14.1

Spot on. Both these blokes are average disposers of the ball. :P

I dont mind trading players to improve our list but Mitch Hahn for Whitnall is a nothing trade.
They'd have to do better than that.

Of course he does; no one else will pay him that much!

I don't doubt that Whitnall will end up at the Dogs but I am not keen on Hahn as the trade off. For us to expect a first round pick may be rather ambitous as well. Might be better to wait until trade week and see who else wants to snaffle him and then hopefully his price will rise significantly.

No matter what club or the way the deal is strucutred, we need to be looking for youth and youth only. Trying to plug holes with readymade players is just insane especially when they are B Grade players too. We have too many holes to plug so we may as well focus on bringing in young enthusiastic players who have no bad habits or baggage.

The future is bright if we want it to be.

No to Hahn. Watched the Bulldogs the last two weeks, he comes in and out of the game and his disposal and awareness of selecting the right option are questionable. Whitnall to the Bulldogs is a proposal which is on the table. One Bulldog's player that is apparently being sought I'd love, but I doubt the Dogs would give him up. Would solve a big problem at our club.

Well, done Phoenix, you know your opposition player lists, the identity of that rumour is down to a 50% probability in one post.

Yes you are silly Surrey cos of numerous reasons.
One is Cooney went number 1 and we had number 2.
Another is because theyre one and a half years into their careers.
The third and most salient reason is cos you are...

Silly Surrey has a nice ring to it.. i like it!!! :-D

If the dogs trade Minson they'd need their heads read. I'd take him in a heartbeat.

Harris? Gilbee? Really nightcrawler, you're being silly. The player under consideration has been mentioned.

Free Willy!!!!

The only way we can swindle a gun player from them is if that plaYer is uncontracted and prefers to go to a club not going anywhere at the moment to a club blaying exciting footy and beginning to mature...

I dont mind Mitch Hahn as he is robust and gives us something we dont have but I would want a bit more than Hahn for Whitnall......KPP's are hard to come by and I would expect more than a C+ midfielder...

The Dogs would be seriuosly reconsidering there position now. A month ago they looked like a team who had made a bit of improvement this year and were 50/50 of making the 8 next year.
Now with there improved form, Darcy to return next year and Grant likely to play on they are odds on to play finals next year and even push into the top 4.
There first round pick this year has slipped from 7 to at least 10 now and might go even more.
If all the Dogs are prepared to offer is Hahn then I prefer to keep Lance.
I would prefer to get the Dogs first and second round pick than Hahn.
Pick 10 and pick 26 is what the Roos paid for Thommo.

There will be a stampede down at the Doggies CEO office at the moment with all players wishing to renew their contracts. Just like there was down at St Kilda a month back :lol:

Hahn's ok.... I've changed my mind on him a bit. I think he's better than I realised.

But, perhaps we could do:
Whitnall -> Dogs
Hahn -> Brisbane
T.Selwood + pick -> Carlton

or

Whitnall + pick 18 -> Dogs
Hahn + pick 9 -> Carlton
