The garbage on this site and in the media (as in, the things that are discussed as likely.. and they are garbage for being shithouse club decisions)

Mate, I will form a coup. We need to start one of those unofficial match committee thingies and go picket the club.

NEWSFLASH CARLTON BOARD

- CAMPOREALE IS SHIT

- LANCE WHITNALL IS SHIT

- BRENDAN FEVOLA IS A MORON AND WOULD GET AN AWESOME TRADE

- MATTHEW LAPPIN HAS BEEN GREAT SERVICE AND VERY LOYAL, TRY AND BE A BIT MORE ACCOMODATING (without giving in to "insane" requests)

- KOUTA IS A MEDIOCRE CAPTAIN

STOP WASTING TIME WORRYING ABOUT 3 DEADHEADS WHO DON'T DESERVE TO GO NEAR A NAVY BLUE JUMPER, AND START FOCUSSING ON THE PLAYERS ON THE LIST THAT DO, AND GETTING BLOKES INTO THE CLUB WHO WANT TO PLAY FOR US

ITS SIMPLE!!!!!

Tell Camporeale to get lost

Offer Whitnall $250k p/a over 2 and refuse to increase it.... then swap him for a good first round pick + maybe a player who has a brain

Make Stevens captain

Offer Lappin 2 years + 1 year extension if he finishes in the top 10 in the B&F for the next 2 years... on good money.

Tell Sticks to tow the party line or reconsider his spot on the board

Create a bit of competition for Fevola... try and get some good offers for him and decide if he's REALLY worth keeping. Start setting boundaries for him so he can't be such a dickwad

Swap Houlihan for bloody anything while we still can

Make sure when Lionheart Murphy walks in the door he's walking into a productive environment where Waite and Thornton set the agenda (ie, one that tries) and not fat idiots like Whitnall

I think I just fell in love with you, thats the best post I've read here since this site started.

If one more of you blokes mention the ST.KILDA model again i will seek you out one by one and friggin well strangle you.For effs sake! The day the CFC uses the Saints as there blueprint for future success is the day i start following tiddlywinks.Fairdinkum guys, get a grip on reality will you.The saints are in as big a shit as they have been for 100years and you want to copy them.Getting rid of guns to get guns. What a lot of shit.If you have a good player you hang onto him.Good players, whatever there shortcoming's,are hard to find.Make the most of what you have and build around them.I want Red,Fev,Campo and Skinny. They are not our problem. Its that very little is coming from below.

The StKilda model Pffffff ! Yeah, right.Who was the brain dead embecile who decided to eff of Big Bazza.Yeah,he would have felt real comfortable last night. The PRECENCE of Barry Hall was what had the Saints scared shitless all night. And dont you underestimate the intimidation factor. They were having little sly looks all night. And dont say i didnt tell you,but Maguire is overated and by no one more than himself.Any Carlton footballer with any skerrick of pride should RELISH lining up on Maguire.

And Jason Ball would have been near wetting himself with glee in the knowledge there was no Spider in the Saints lineup these days.Yes the Saints got that right too didnt they.Effing off the best ruckman in the comp coz he had one tatoo too many and was a little to hard to handle.Yep,the Sainters only wanted choir boys and head prefect types.Get rid of that scumbag Everatt, hes an embarresment.Only feel sorry for one bloke. The G train.God it must shit him to tears playing with those soft pretenders.

Anyway guys, say what you must BUT NOT THE AINTS MODEL ok.Anything but that.True big Sinner,im ready to go crazy.Do me a favour big fella, dont mention em for at least a week.Im ready to snap Syns so SHUDDUP !

We can't follow the St.Kilda model anyway. When the saints got all of their kids they had the likes of Burke, Harvey and Loewe as leaders that they could look up to, plus they had the additions of Hamill and Gehrig. What have we got?

I think we'll be up the shitter for a fair while yet.

Careful Tyrant or you'll feel the roth of BlueWorld

the Houlihan one is at the bottom of my list of priorities, granted

we're not exactly facing a "St.Kilda circa 2000 situation", but its similar. They had some veterans who were superstars and very productive members of team, but no middle/young tier (beside Hayes).

We have no superstar veterans who are very productive (except maybe Stevens), and have a good crop of middle/young tier players. Riewoldt walked into a side with no decent young players (except Hayes). Marc Murphy will walk into one with Walker, Waite, Thornton, Fisher etc etc. We'll have a young tier that grows together as of right now, but no one leading the ship. St.Kilda grew a whole brigade in a couple of drafts after 2000, but had some very productive veterans in the side to help them along.

our veterans are actually counterproductive and must go (with the exception of Kouta... and even then he should go in some capacities). We'll bank on the younger brigade, build their leadership and passion, while adding new topline juniors to the mix for a couple of seasons. I, personally, would look to add some experience from winning sides with very late picks in addition to the young players (like the Scott brothers), because they'll add invaluable experience and mentoring to the young players. We can draft in players of good character (like Murphy), and cut players of poor character, like Karl and (maybe) Fevola. We need to start setting a standard for performance, which is based on passion for the jumper and passion for teammates (not necessarily in the Shane Crawford sense, but ok, sure, if they want to).

What passion does Campo have when he expects an unrealistic wage and calls for cheap possessions that don't benefit the side? What passion does Lance have when he can NEVER get his body right? What passion does Fevola have when he's mouthing off to a legend in his 50s/60s who 40 years ago could have torn his head off by looking at him.

Where are the Bruce Doulls of the team? the John Nicholls? Even the Kernahans and Craig Bradleys? Where are the Silvagnis who sacrificed their careers almost for playing a team role?

They're not Whitnall or Camporeale.

They might be Lappin who chose to support us in 2002.

They're definitely in the hearts of Waite, Carrazzo and Bentick et.al who grew up in love with the Navy Blue.

GET LOST CAMPOREALE AND STOP TRASHING THE CLUB I LOVE BY YOUR MERE PRESENCE HERE!
GET LOST WHITNALL WHO WOULD RATHER DRINK WITH HIS MATES THAN TRAIN!
GET LOST FEVOLA WHO CANNOT BE TRUSTED TO KEEP HIS FAT MOUTH SHUT!!!

HELLO MARC MURPHY, WHO HAS THE COURAGE OF A LION!
HELLO ADAM BENTICK WHO WORKS LIKE A DOG!
HELLO ANDREW CARRAZZO WHO SLEEPS WITH A CARLTON TEDDY!
HELLO BRAD FISHER, WHO RISES IN PACKS LIKE A CONDOR, LIKE JEZZA, WHEN THE LAWS OF PHYSICS THEMSELVES WON'T ALLOW HIM TO MARK!!!
HELLO JARRAD WAITE WHO IS A GLADIATOR THROWBACK TO THE 70s, WHEN THE CARLTON MAN WAS FEARED AND RESPECTED IN EQUAL MEASURE!!!!!

If the board can't see where their meal tickets are, then maybe they need us to point it out to them.

(editorial note: I've made my team sound like a zoo!)

I'd think about voting for Tyrant, but can we really trust him to keep his hands off club staff at club functions?

mate, I'm like a reverse-Bull... my eyes are attracted to Navy Blue 8)

I don't know anything.. I wouldn't vote for me. But this is a democracy and we do have the right to voice our disapproval... and Carlton are starting to really shit me with their proposed "decisions" (more like non-decisions).

Mate you are not getting my point. Say we organise ourselves a deal in trade week. Lance for Bartel or Luke Power or something.
We need to pay a ceartain amount to these players and agree to the deal.
Say Power wants 400k. Say Salopek wants 225k and we get him in the PSD.

Imagine if we sign evryone up before trade week. Then Lance says he wont go. So we cant trade him. Problem number 1.

No i get your point mate, but the whole having a contract or not thing seems to be a bit of a red herring. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter if the player has a contract or not, if they don't agree to the trade, they don't go.

Having a contract just removes one of lance's negotiating tools. ie "if you don't trade me to such and such a club/pay me X amount of money, I'll put myself in the pre-season draft."

The real question for should be are we signing players before trade week on contracts that no other club would be prepared to match?

Wea re not soft Saints showed it last night. They have had all the draft picks in the world but they cant win a flag.

Draft picks are not the only solution people i would rather win a flag with out the help of millions of top draft picks

I'm with you 100%, Tyrant.

The only passion Campo shows is passioin to fill his bank account. If he showed even half that passion for the club and the game, he'd be a double Brownlow medallist.

We are trying to learn how to swim... but were too scared to let go of the edge.!!!

All this talk tough stuff and talk about a list that starts at B- and goes through to Zs... means jack shit if theyre too scared to let go!
What were scared of is another 14 losses in a row season.
In my opinion.. (and i can assure you that a month ago Lance wasnt wanted and a month prior to that the board signed Fev up in good faith..)... the club prefers to lose 2 win 1... lose 2 .. win 1... because its a blow softener...

Our new ambition is not to build for the future it is to lose 2 win 1.. lose 2 win 1.. anything except lose 14 again in a risk... We are now a team with the ambition of winning 7 to 8 games per season.. because we cant take pain to go forward....
They are as weak as piss if they continue through with keeping Kouta captain.. re-signing Lance on more than 300k (after all the noises they made about being tough).. re -signing Campo... and losing Lappin.. (because his father didnt play 60 odd games for Carlton ... or because he didnt start his career with our chairman of selectors....

Youll find Shannon Grant will take Lappins spot while Lappo gets sacrificed as the big name that had to go for 'culture change'.....

WEAK AS PISS if that happens!!!!

Boy will i have a new 'bag' to kick around if what i hear is going to happen happens.. instead of the patient rebuild and culture change they were oing to go ahead with.....

I'd rather keep Lappin than pick up Shannon Grant in a trade or the PSD for what he's rumoured to be after.Weak as piss!

Shannon Grant should fit right in.... a team full of natural born leaders....

The club does not have a problem with leadership.. if the kids cant lead themselves they dont deserve to be leaders....

Nice one....

This is a club going places...

priority picks are goign to be gone..... next year.. we may as well go for it.. Synbad, I understand you're not a clever man so I'll make it simple..

Carlton = in debt
Losses= that debt increase
debt increase=big trouble
wins = less debt.

next year there are 8 guns.. we finish outside the 8, we get one anyway.
we finish inside the 8, debt becomes less serious.
That's as simple as I can make it.
Simple explanation for a simple mind. :P
