From the Fox Sports website:

Quote:
JARRAD Waite, one of Carlton's most promising talents, has suffered another stress fracture, this time to his right leg.

Tests have revealed Waite has a stress fracture of the fibula bone.

Waite will wear a support boot on his right leg for the next three weeks. He is expected to resume full training in six weeks.

Football operations manager Grant Williams said Waite's injury surfaced after he returned to pre-season training following the International Rules Series against Ireland.

In March 2004, Waite had a stress fracture of the navicular bone in his left foot.

Why does it have to be a shoe problem?

I think the fibula bone is in the leg not the foot........

shoes without good shock absorbtion or shoe doesn't fit onto Waite's feet structure causes him to put a lot of pressure on his shin which causes him into a fibular stress fracture.

Not meaning to sound pedantic but I am pretty sure the fibula is the bone BEHIND the shin bone....

Anyway I think I understand what you mean...

Lets hope that Waity can be on the park ASAP...

What worries me most is that he will now have an interrupted pre-season. That's both our key forwards out till the new year.

AND although a different foot, its the second time - does he have a propensity for this type of injury?

Was it training for the international series? That was at subiaco wasn't it?

Bloody Hell.

Not a great start.

That's it. I've had enough.

From now on the boys should walk, train and PLAY in moonboots. Its the only way to be sure.
