Hopes and dreams for a while at least. We're all even till the season starts. The one good thing about the off season.

Geez, if you can't be excited about having pick 1, 4, and 20 just because they are there, what a sorry state of affairs that would be

I'm excited that someone has started an "I'm excited!" thread. :-D

Mate, I'm getting excited as the days get cut down.

I'm going to be up at 7 on Saturday morning, have breakfast, do some other stuff, get the radio out on the table with my pen and piece of paper, wait until 10 and then start jotting the names down.

I am absolutely pumped for this draft.

Sure we know Murphy is coming to us, but I can't wait until his name is called out. And who will be taken with Pick 4? That really is the million dollar question.

Will we take Cadyn Beetham with Pick 36? Gee, I hope we do. But won't be too fussed if we don't because I trust that Hughsey will pick the right kid for us.

GO BLUES!!!!

I mean; all the papers and news reports are about Carlton this week....not a bloody pic of Nathan Buckley, Eddie McGuire or Kevin Sheedy in sight.

Any publicity is good publicity they say, and we're getting plenty.

Even if we pick Woewodin at pick 1; (only kidding) we're gonna get heaps of publicity for having pick 1; regardless.

So....after years of bad vibes surrounding Carlton; we're the centre of attention....again....where we should be.

This can only be good for the Club; the Membership and morale.

Even Denis said that there's a real buzz around the place this week.

It's a great feeling!

I was wondering why it's Saturday; it's always been on a Friday hasn't it?

There's got to be a reason.....this is the start of our 2006 campaign....and we're impatient!

I am as excited as an excited person who has a particularly good reason to be excited.

I think its been Saturday the past few years. Started off to avoid clashing with VCE exams.

They've since moved it after exams are finished, but left it on Saturday.

Lets hope they end up better than
Massie(truck)
Hooper(man)
Lounder(Flounder)
Bantick(give him the flick)
Vance(the Bendigo dance)
Livo( will he fulfill the expectations)

Hopefully the worm will turn starting tomorrow, but picks 1,4 and 20 doesnt mean good players in the long run and dont expect much from them in 2006.Looking at the pictures in the paper make me feel old, but mature

That would be Anthony Banik..taken by Richmond many moons ago as a No 1 pick.

Now I'm really, really excited!

Just listening to Wayne Hughes on SEN; and he's excited too!

I knew things were looking up!

Hughes said that all Denis said to him pre draft was "Don't muck it up!"
