well it's not really rocket science.....i'll explain it to you.....how many sayings do you know that start with "end of the " and dont end in earth. especially when it is one letter......sheesh.

End of the day.
End of the ball game.
End of the world.
End of the discussion.

End of the line
End of the section

By the way Warby, eevery time I see or hear 'At the end of the day", I keep having visions of Andrew Peacock when he was running for PM in the '80's.

Nausea soon follows.

bnz, to respond to your original post I think you would find that most people on this site fall in between the two categories you pointed out, which I believe is the point Mrs C was trying to make.

When it comes to supporting a footy team, things are never that black & white (thank christ because we'd all be collingwood supporters).

We know Marc Murphy isn't really the Messiah (sorry Tyrant!). But we've all endured a very tough season, you should allow us at least a little excitement.

Yes JW; and what about "End of the penny section"

With Peacock, I agree; it is sickening, it was one of Fraser's pet sayings too.

Yet; when "Jim Hacker" of "Yes Prime Minister" said "In the fullness of time Humphrey; in the fullness of time"....it was funny.

well maybe i got a little heated as well but no apology, because it was warranted.

i wouldnt have had a problem at all if people had refuted what i had to say, and had a bit of a rebuttal for the other side, but it's when people have nothing better to say so the focus on the stupid things.....thats what i took exception to.

thankyou for your apology.

bnz..... your name isnt beau is it?

look there are so many things that dont need to be said, as they are fact or near enough to it

there are lots of things on the edges where there is a real debate. and thats what gets talked about. here and everywher else.

you dont see people debating whether walker is young, fit, fast and looking ok. people debate how he's being coached and whether he should have advanced further.

see? all that middle ground stuff where 99% agree just, no one takes the time to say things we all agree on.

A capital letter is used when beginning a sentence.

You make sense there Athorn :-D It isn't a mens club where they smoke cigars, sit around and discuss the 'Importance of an indoor loo'. Alot of crap just doesn't get said because it is soooo obvious...(Is someone watching?).

Thats why you see butting heads...I think.

Honourable intention BNZ but you have to consider the types of people who would be posting on a board of this nature when the footy doesn't even begin for another 4 months...most of us are die-hard Carlton fiends with die-hard, even mildy retarded, views on the the club we follow. Mildy retarded is not strong enough actually, I know I'm a Carlton Spastic.

However, there are a number of excellent, temperate, posters here who consider Carlton and intercourse on similar par. Don't get hung up on the dip-sh!ts...if there wasn't any dip-sh!ts, there'd be nobody to laugh at...

I think makes me a dip-sh!t also...oh well, youse blokes can all go and get stuffed.

get a little heated sometimes, like most supporters.

but orangewhip......you have provided light in an otherwise very dreary thread! cheers.
