Don't worry, it's not just confined to geography. I have had many a "discussion" about football with guys who, when it gets too difficult they ask how many games I've played. Apparently I couldn't possibly understand anything about football because I haven't played before.

Does this mean we will be having match practice with no reports? :(

I watched a girl-on-girl game last year. It was a curtain raiser to the game I was playing in. Morningside Girls v some other team. There were some BIG girls running around out there who really hit the woman hard. And there were some absolute stunners too.

I accidentally wandered into the wrong change-room, had stripped off, and before I knew it I was surrounded by 22 sweaty women....nah...that's what I wanted to do, but of course I was really focussed on my own game.

 that they came up anyway
:x that they don't have the nouse to have an intra-club game on the weekends.
More supporters should have been out there, but there were about 150 anyway .. a top day! Let's hope it marks the start of a top year.
Good to meet Deano and KaptKout too. Might show my true roots and get my head on here with MY bulldogs hat from 1991
Anyhoo, good to be part of this and hope to be a happier Blue in 06

Which of our NSW supporters are going to put in the hard yards and give us a detailed report?

It would be much appreciated and the opportunity to gain instant popularity! :-D

BV you do realise Newcastle is 200km north of Sydney- Its not as if we can duck out from work for a hour or two to watch a practice match.

Also on another note if this is to try and develop NSW market absolute bloody waste of time going to Newcastle it is RL heaven up there - If more than two men and a dog turn out I would be surprised

I don't feel very well.....I agree 100% with SydneyBlue!

I would LOVE to go, even just to watch, let alone report back, but to have the IC match in Newcastle on a Monday is ridiculous. Would have been better on the Central Coast, or in Sydney proper, or Canberra even. And even then, it needed to be on a bloody weekend!

I'm sure the meet-and-greet could have been done on the way back down to Melb. without too many problems.

What's the chance of mentioning these sorts of concerns to someone in the club. And to someone who will actually listen?

Maybe they'll listen to us when we start winning games

like someone somewhere else here said

Quote:
they'll relegate us to Sunday later in the season when the sh#t hits the fan

and to answer

Quote:
don't they realise Newcastle is 200km away
you should make it in terms they understand, like "lets pop up to Bendigo for lunch to watch a quarter of the intra-club game". Same stupid logic, but more understandable.

Anyway, why Newie?!

And thanks KaptKout .. although I don't remember meeting you (hubba hubba)

I think in this instance we can lay the blame on the location in the lap of the AFL not the club...the AFL organises all of this.

As for developing the game...I would think a RL enclave would be a good place to try...although not necessarily a friendly one!

You're 100% right there, Caz. Going into RL-friendly areas is probably a good way to do it, but not on a Monday, for heaven's sake. It might have been OK a fortnight ago when it was still school hols....

I thought the Club might have a say in it in some way shape or form....
