Getting a club membership Surrey?

Effes, I'm not hiding the fact that after 25 years of financially supporting the club I am for the first time, disillusioned and un-motivated at the season ahead. To answer your question, I don't know yet. More to do with my passion towards the direction the club has taken than anything else at the moment. Sad but I won't hide behind my keyboard and say it isn't so.

I can't imagine how many posters will be replying to this.

Carlton will never be just another AFL Club.

This is when Carlton needs members when we are on the bottom of the Ladder. Not when we are on top.

In the bad time Carlton supporters need to buy memberships. becuase banwagon supporters will buy them when we are winning.

My seven year old heard the alert, brought me the phone and I got him to read it.....

should've seen the look on his face...priceless ....it was like Kouta had just walked up to him and asked him directly if he was going
(It must be lovely to that innocent!)

Needless to say I know what we're doing Sunday , now that we're "invited"!

So far we've received two phone calls, a SMS and an email about the Family Day.

Good to see that it is now free for Members.

My youngest plays cricket Sunday morning (and this weekend is the last match for the season) so the earliest we can get there will be about 1:00.

When my daughter got the email (on my account) - it made me want to fly us all down there..... Form letter or not, it's nice to know the members are being engaged by the club more and more.....

Just in time for the players to be presented to the fans Bort. Good timing I would say!

Got the SMS and the e-mail. I havent bought the memberships yet and, not that I wasnt going to, but I had been a bit lazy in that department. Getting an SMS from Kouta (who I am sure personally keyed in everybody's number and message) has fired me up!!! If Mrs 2nd is OK with it I might just take the tribe along on the weekend and sign up for the memberships at the front door on the way in!!!

SMS gets you a couple of hundred $$$ for every guilty sucker like myself!!! Hopefully it tips a few fence sitters over the edge.

Does anyone know if an AFL club support gets free entry to the family day? Maybe I should give Kouta a call?

Shouldn't be too hard to give him a buzz, Chief.

Just press speed dial.

fullmont replied to the SMS saying, yeah thanks Kouta, danielle & I will be there. Look forward to seeing you there. Or words to that effect. What an idiot!! I think it's great that the club are promoting the day like this. Just hearing about the kids reactions sounds like it's all worth it & a really effective way to reach all of our members & ex-members.

As a member I wouldn't mind paying $10 to get in, if I ended up going on Sunday.

Given that we've had another rev up in the media about going to the AFL for a hand out, if 20,000 members each paid $10 thats $200,000 the club would raise.

Well their flyer says that Adult Members Pay $5:

http://carltonfc.com.au/cp2/c2/webi/art ... 5614ao.pdf

- so they better clarify that quicksmart as there maybe some very confused and disappointed and pissed off people next Sunday. :?

I just downloaded the flyer now.
