If he can't make the NAB 28 he'd be lucky to make rd 1 when another 2 + 4 will have to be cut.

well to be honest i'm dissapointed with that list.

i'll be even more PO'ed if guys like prenda (love his attitude though) and davies are left in and people like blakcers and harlo get cut.

cant believe they prefer davies to russell

Very bad news for Livingston. Seems as though he's at the back of a queue now. Although i don't think there's a great match-up for him at Geelong, even thinking along those lines suggests he's too limited for the role we need.

To not make a squad of 28 after a full pre-season must tell him where he is on the list.

On to other players, DeLuca to me was player 40 from last week's intra-club match. Ineffective. Bryan was more more imposing, kicked a goal, threw himself around. I still don't understand this decision going to DeLuca.

Weird,

Via the Carlton site the Carlton V Geelong teams don't show, but they do via the AFL site....very strange...

Who cares who's in or out the footy's about to start!

can't believe there wasn't room for JR in a back pocket given Geelong have one of the weakerAFL forward lines

Must have something over Denis! Always seems to favour him though you'd never know what he sees in him.

I don't claim to understand the De Luca decision myself. That said, if you have a look at some of Pagan's press conferences late last year, he reckoned injuries to young developing players had cost us. And the two he mentioned were Fisher and De Luca. It wasn't only once he said this, it was several times.
I tend to agree with the guy who said that De Luca is Italian for 'Two Grabs'. And I can still remember my knwoledgeable little Blues' supporting sister screaming out during the Wizard Cup Grand Final last year (after De Luca had handballed straight to an Eagle) 'the Jury's still out on you De Luca'. I guess we can only see how he goes now he's over his foot problems.

DMac was offered a contract at the lions but knocked it back to enter the preseason draft, I would assume that he was seeking more game time and the blues would have assured him that he'd have a role in the starting 22. Bryan and Dmac are similar players and are earmarked for similar roles so perhaps he's the one keeping Bryan out of the side

Thats our best few in that list.. were going for back to back.
Personally i would have liked to have seen Fev miss a couple of more weeks.

Everyone stop your whining!...You are not Denis Pagan so unless you are shut it...Those selected are the most ready and suitable to play the cats this week...We are after a win and should hopefully get it...

JR has not done enough yet to warrant a spot...Good to see Setanta, Hartlett, Murphy and Blackers selected...

All everyone needs to do is get behind the team this weekend and think positive thoughts...

Go Blues!!!...

I'll remain positive even if Wiggins is in the squad

I suppose alot of us are hanging to see some new blood, but that's not the Pagan way.

Go Blues.....

Three players yet to play an AFL game and another who's only played once not enough new blood for you? Even in the Wizard Cup with an expanded bench you can only play so many newbies and still expect to be competitive... especially if your the worst side in the league. Sure it would've been nice to see Russell in the squad but not if it meant Blackwell not getting his chance.

Well said! It's f*cking annoying how many people here love to hear the sound of their own whine.
