Should be a good day; the club are making a day of it, (see carlton web Site).

And.... Guys, don't forget that it is a pre-season practice match. It won't be a matter of "team balance", or selecting players on merit!! Denis will try to give all palyers a run over the next few weeks to match harden them. Kouta won't play more than a half....Barny will be lucky to play much time all while the coaching staff have a look at other ruck options.
ALso.....Hoops & Scotland will be walk up starters once the season begins, so don't get the old knickers in a knot over practice match performances.

Scotland needs a kick up the arse and a reminder that he should be playing every game as though it might be his last so I'd drop him to the ants this week and let Murph & Blackers get more acclimatized to the midfield tempo by spending more time on the ball.
Get at least a 7 man defence type thingy happening with Livo coming in and freeing up Laaaaaaarnce to roam free and take up s p a c e in the backline. Wouldn't it be great if 1AW could turn out to be a modern day version of an Andy McKay type of attacking/playmaking defender?
Get Lappo up forward and give Betts some extended midfield time.......IN THE ANTS!!!
Give PB a couple of spells of the bench in the backline.
Keep playing Houla in the midfield so by Rnd 1 we should have a better idea if he's suited to that role (not that some of us haven't made up our minds already).
Maximum 5 man forward line to create space for Waite Fev Carlos Fish Skinny.
Russell on one wing and Simmo on the other.

I have an Uncle John that sits out on his balcony, all day, every day (living off injury payments for hurting his back), with a shotgun on his lap.

Is that you Uncie John?

Aww, now we don't get to see DeLuca v DeLuca :(

Keep an eye on young Fabian, and let me know how he goes.

I think he has great potential. And he's f*c#!n9 huge!

Out.... Carrazzo and... DELUCA? Oh the sooks have won again.

Do you think this is just a pre-season rotation thingy?

Great to see so many young kids in, not just the 3 highlighted but the 3 who got a debut last week plus Setanta.

4 have to drop out.

18 on the ground, 6 on the bench.

I'd drop Waite and Fevola this week. Run Hartlett at Full Forward to see how he goes and play Bower in defence.

Is Livingston injured?
I would have thought there's a guy who needs as much match practice as he can get....
