Yeah Fev goes trial by media every time. Remember he's "controversial" full forward Brendan Fevola....

If there's any justice it will be laughed out of the room. But we all know that justice is a fluid concept in AFL circles.

It all depends what the panel want for Carlton.

Most don't want to see us do well. So that means he will get off, cause this gives us a greater chance of winning and the more we win, the worse our picks will be. The last thing they want is for us to get another Murphy/Kennedy.

I have a feeling Fev will get weeks just because he's Fev. The only consistency at the tribunal is that some players get shafted whenever they walk in the door.

on the sunday footy show it showed footage of chris johnson on friday night, it showed him punching dal santo in the head and he didn't even get reported so Fev will get off.

Match review hasn't been done yet & it's of no relevance to your Fev anyway!

FWIW, Chris Jones off the Sunday Footy Show said Fev had a lot of factors in his favour. = No injury to kirk, minimal head contact, front on contact not shoulder or elbow.

I doubt the charge will even stand and if it does he'll get off. No sweat.

barry hall punches matt maquire in the stomach gets off.
paul medhurst runs past the ball to hit houla in the head gets off.
fevola will get suspended i have no doubt.
a) he is fevola and the AFL don't like individuals or characters in their game anymore. fev needs to be taught a lesson AFL style.

b) he doen'st play for an interstate club the the AFL need to do well.

c) he plays for carlton.

the AFL can go F#$% themselves. Fev will get a week or 2.

Confusion in report as well.

If you watch the replay:

Umpire tells Fev and Kirk two different reports:

One for charging and one for rough play

surely that intself is a loophole

Probably not, I would say that it's whatever gets written down at the end of the match, or after match review.

It's a pissweak report.

If Medhurst got off, fevola should too, but the thing against him, is that he has "form"

I agree.
Report will be withdrawn.
Next time, if Fev has learnt, he'll take the opponent on the knees, hoping one or both will be shredded .........
Can't be any more than a free kick.
The head is sacrosanct, the anterior cruciate ligaments aren't.
Isn't that essentially what AFL rules are having players lean toward???

Nowhere near as bad as Medhurst picking a player off. If he can get away with it so SHOULD Fev. Doesn't mean he will though!

Shouldn't even make it to the tribunal. Freekick, nothing else.

Different rules for different players though.

Barry Hall does it, it's tough fair play.
Fev does it, it's wreckless he gets a week.
Pickett does it, it's dangerous and gets 4.

Just watched the incident again. It should've been a free kick, and MAYBE a warning to Fev, at the worst.

It will be laughed out before it even makes the match review panel.

That was not worth a report. Utter joke.

Wish you guys had won that game... can't stand the Swans.

I'm not so confident. I never underestimate the inconsistency of the review panel, and never underestimate their ability to judge someone on reputation.

I would be shocked if he escaped with nothing. I think it will be judged as Negligent (if anything above this we would fight it very successfully), In Play, High Contact, Low Impact. With his prior record this could be 2 weeks (I dunno exactly) and a guilty plea would be 1 week.

I don't think it should be anything but I didn't think he should've gone in his last few reports
