I don't think Russell is ready as yet.

I like all of the ins and would like to see Kennedy replace Deluca in the future, but Deluca won't be dropped after a reasonable game on Saturday...Against the hawks we need our runners to be at their best...

In: Waite (hopefully), Fisher (hopefully), Bannister
Out: Lappin, Sporn, Chambers

If one of Waite or Fisher doesn't come up then i would play Kennedy...Both Waite and Fisher are athletic type so we wont be killed with mobility...Plus so far this season (pre-season), Fisher has moved up almost into the middle...And finally Bannister, great match-up for Williams imo...Has the height, the pace and the strength to match it with him...IMO if we can hold Williams we will win...Their forwards are quite small, thus keeping Teague for a Dixon type...I don't see where a guy like Saddo will have a match-up in this game...

Just seems as if we are going too tall...I like all of the ins and would like to see Kennedy replace Deluca in the future, but Deluca won't be dropped after a reasonable game on Saturday...Against the hawks we need our runners to be at their best...

I did think about the height issue but since Chambers replaced Fisher and Fisher does run around the ground a fair bit it seemed like a good exchange. Lappins gone but he was going to play forward anyway while Saddington played in defense so Lappin for Waite is fair again. Blackwell for Sporn is midfielder for midfielder, and Kennedy for Teague kicks out a wannabe KP in exchange for a real KP. I stand by my selections.

Davies was suspended for four VFL games I believe, which means he has only missed Round 1 so far as we had a bye this week?

The Age reckons Waite and Fisher will be out for another week and Lappin seems a cert to miss, hard to see anyone getting dropped but experienced players will more than likely to be brought in to cover those losses.

which experienced players? surely the only players on our list that you could maybe put in this list that were not in the 22 on the weekend would be prendergast and wiggins. i would much rather the younger players on our list got a gig before these 2.

Bring in Longmuir - we need some mobility up forward

Not canning your selections at all...Agree with all of them, the only one i would swap would be Russell and Bannister...Also we will err on the side of caution with Waite this week and i think he will miss again...So i think Kennedy will come in...Only reason i keep Teague in is because he is a small defender, not KPP, and he will be a good match for some of the Hawks small forwards (i.e Dixon)...Same with Bannister, he can play on Williams...

PJ you say we need to keep chambers in for his run...but geez whats the use of having a guy whos quick in our team that cant get the ball? Or when he does get the ball cant use it. Chambers is a liability and its as simple as that. Same goes for sporn and Deluca.
Wow Deluca took a couple of marks...well damn sure he did he was more then a head taller then his opponent. BUt a couple of marks doesnt cut it for me, if your that much taller then your opponent you should be tearing him apart! The fact of the matter is he isn't smart enough, he runs around like a headless chook! Bring in the kids i say!

Quite simply we aren't good enough to make finals. Solution: BLOOD THE KIDS!

We'd all love to see kids selected, but it doesn't seem to be pagan's style. I just think that seeing as experienced senior players are missing they'll be replaced by similar big bodies: bannister, prenda, livo, wiggo, longmuire etc. Hartlett and Kennedy would be the best hopes of the younger brigade but there are injury clouds over both. It'd be great to have all the kids playing with the skill and enthusiasm of simmo and murphy, but in reality playing a fistful of first and second gamers is a recipe for a 100 point loss.

190cm + players who could come in:

Bannister
Bower
Bryan
Edwards
Kennedy
Livo
Carlos
Prenda

Bannister and Livo are heading that list if we take into account they were named emergencies against the Swans. Realistically we need to find a FF, CHF, and HBF from that list to replace Fev, Waite and Lappin. Bannister is a viable HBF, Deluca will prob be named at CHF, Livo would have to have a match-up because he can't play on Mark Williams. If Kennedy overcomes his groin he'd have to come into consideration for FF, it'd be interesting to see him against Roughead as they are similarly bodied players.

I'd drop Sporn before Chambers.

Sporn was terrible last night.

Chambers was worse, again.

Out: Chambers, Teague, Sporn* Scotland/McGrath*
In: Kennedy, Fisher, Lappin*, Waite*

I'd have to say drop Scotland out of those two, but it's unlikely all those names will come up.

Scotland is starting to really give me the shits. Such a good player but so @#$%&! inconsistant. Our young players need our senior players to be RELIABLE!!

Perhaps Bannister will be brought in to tag, Mitchell?

I don't want Bentick or Carrots tagging him. We need them both attacking the ball and pushing it forward. Especially Bentick.

Lappin hasn't missed a game as yet so how can he come in?

Wouldn't be surprised to see Longmuir get a game this week with Fev, Lappin etc likely to be out. He was an emergency last week.

Ta for that BW, tiring after the big weekend and kept staring at it wondering where I'd gone wrong.

Out: Chambers, Teague, Sporn*

I just love reading the names carlos and Russell as inclusions..... Written by those who mightn't have ever seen a training session or a bullants game.

COZ if you had you'd realise what a joke those two inclusions would be right at the minute!!
