I watched the game from a dodgy telly at a friend's holiday house in Corowa!!! Easter hols would have killed the crowds. Anybody that had to sit in the traffic trying to escape Melb on Fri night/Sat morning can attest to this.

The cellard door tastings at Rutherglen would have been a little bit nicer had we won mind you.

Will be there with bells on tomorrow night though, have to pick up the 'member's cap' on the way in. Is there a specific caravan etc that you have to get those things from? Can you just go up to the one selling Carlton memberships and wave the card?

I don't remember seeing this mentioned as yet, but let me know if it has.

Essendon* got 45000 against the swans round 1

Nice to see we are so happy with mediocrity

Hmmmmmmmm.......I can take it or leave it depending on my enthusiasm, but I must confess that after reading your posts over the years it's fairly obvious to me you have embraced it with open arms. 8)

Might have been Easter but I still reckon 36,900 was a tad disappointing. St Kilda vs Brisbane only got 1k less 2 nights earlier, Essendon*/Bulldogs got just under 44k the next day and North/Collingwood 48k on the Monday. There's no reason why we couldn't have cracked 40,000. Collingwood for instance against Sydney would have got > 40k. Our start to the year had been reasonable and it was our first home game and I was expecting a few more to be there.

Hopefully we can get more than 45k along tomorrow night, crowds against Hawthorn at the Dome have been good over recent times, let's get another bumper crowd tomorrow night.

Last year crowd for same game/ venue was 30,973 so a 6000 increase is pretty good.

would have been nice to get 40k+
but at the same time its the biggest ever crowd for a blues v swans game in melbourne.
can only keep going up.
