Geelong are a club on the slide with an old list and they want Hendo? I wonder how he'll hold up for 'em over the next few years as they continue down the ladder. If I was a Cat supporter I wouldn't be too happy about them recruiting him. Sounds like a club in denial, take your short term pain and recruit some kids. Ah well, could be to our benefit. I suppose if his pay cheque at Geelong is based on this years form he won't be costing them much.

We send him where it suits us. Auction to the highest bidder. Let the sook go wherever we send him.

Did anyone see Rowe on the mangarook footy show? Just had the impression the guys were sick of the sook.. Normally they say, oh we wanted him to stay, but he didn't. On Yazz however he did say that, and how important he was to us.

Hendo has let the club down - my club. He might as well have taken a dump on the door step of Princes Park. When we require a committed group of players to lead and take charge, he ran the other way. Thanks Hendo :screwy:

We require a committed group of players - totally agreed. Yet we're leaving Kreuzer hanging and unsigned 3 weeks before the season is out. Go figure.

I can understand it if Krooz is looking closely at other offers which are longer term and more $$$. He is injury prone and who knows how long Krooz has left in AFL football. He will also start thinking about himself now to set up his financial future.

Yet in an interview in the HUN last month he said he would not even talk to other clubs and would only deal with Carlton.
Who knows what is going on, I only know we have a lot of unsigned players which is unusual for this time of the year.

And that is the right thing to say. Hendo should have said the same thing.

Surely this is the key. Everything else is a distraction

I don't give a stuff how the club have treated him, what he thinks of our future, culture or anything else.

You are getting paid to be the best you can be. He has virtually 'tanked' all year, not getting out of 2nd gear, yet he is receiving his full 100% salary

There is plenty of time at season's end to tell the club what most supporters have known all year...that he wants out.

I have no issue with him wanting out...good riddance, but it's his prerogative

What I have an issue with is him not having the resilience, dignity and an acceptance of a high degree of personal accountability to play to the best of his ability during our darker hours

Flower off Hendo

McKay said we are expecting 1st round and then some for Hendo. Let's see how tough we are with this now.

I have no concern that the club choose to tell him that his services are not required, if that's what they perceive to be the best way forward, so be it. Personally, I wouldn't, but that's neither here nor there.

I have serious concerns that the club have spun it in such a way that is insultingly inaccurate, burying a former 100 game player of the club, and in doing so have probably jeopardized the value of their own commodity, as they have done countless times. Not only do we look like a shit club, we do so for no net result whatsoever.

What's even more concerning is despite it being completely hypocritical on a number of stances to do so, so many on here swallow it hook, line and sinker, and sink the boots in.

We've looked a lot better with 100% committed players.

The game is hard to watch, even though we are in front. The skills from so many are sub standard.

this bit in particular.
makes you just wanna turn your back.

and we lose a player who is exactly the kind of guy we should want at the club,
for a bloody EFC* player..who has not a piunch of the moral fibre and good grace that Lachie has.

bg, i like you're posts but can't agree with you here. Firstly i too will be appalled if we get sooky Carlisle, i really hope we are over getting over priced duds from other clubs, but the thing hendo and his mum don't seem to understand is that footy is a team game, it is about the team, what is best fir the team, not for an individual. If you want to play for yourself, choose golf or tennis. I thought Hendo was the guy we want at the club, he was a leader. But when things got tough he didn't lead, he left. That's nit what we want. That is a lack of moral fibre.

Not necessarily. Having an interstate team below us could be a savior. Carlilse might tell Bris he is not interested as he wants to stay in Melb. There are so many variables it's a matter of just being patient and waiting for things to unfold.

Rivers has officially retired. Seems Geelong may be looking for a ready-made key defender to come in...

Did anyone read the tweet from Brock McLean? He said Carlton recruits the wrong Henderson, they should have recruited the mum who shows more grit. Something along those lines, I don't know how to post the tweet here. Haha damn right!

That's interesting. I was under the impression McLean was close to Murphy and co, so you'd wonder what they think too
