Two weeks ago, I was going to accept a new job offer. True story this one. The offer was on the table and I was to go in for a meeting to discuss terms. The meeting was in St Kilda, other side of town from me, and I had to drive 45 mins more than my usual 10 min commute to get there. It pissed me off no end.

In the end, I decided that this factor alone was a significant differentiator, and i rejected the job

F*ck the Lappin news, bluehammer knocked back an offer from St Kilda!!!!

Good to hear Matty has come to terms, also good to see his form on Friday night.

I also find it interesting to compare what I was told in August were likely outcomes with what has happened ...

back then I was told that one player was close to signing (and did), one was likely to go to Richmond (and thankfully has ended up declining their offer and deciding to stay), and the third no-one wanted (so he's off to Essendon*, why I cannot imagine except that someone has gone senile so it's probably a good match :-D ).

So this confirms what Synbad said was probable 2 weeks ago.

Well done Matthew Lappin. :-D

My exemplory record, like Matthew Lappin's*, will stand me in good stead to get off the charge Danny so cruelly levels at me. CK...well I'm not so sure.

That is good news, especially since CFC have stuck to the 2 year contract, although we don't know what sort of money he will be on.

This just highlights the gulf in class between Camporeale and Lappin. And to think, Camporeale has probably earned twice as much from football as Skinny, and been nowhere near as good a footballer over a similar period of time.

The official website never has any breaking news! :P

Well done Lappo. Glad to see you stick with the club, although I am happy it is on the clubs terms in this instance, and not the other way around.

Will look forward to a much better season from you on 2006, and hopefully that will also flow on to the other kids as well.

Let's not forget that Campo was a great player, All-Australian as a midfielder in 2001, let himself down the last couple of years...thats all.

Congrats to Skinny and of course Synbad for having the news first. Anyone else wish to bow to Synbad insider info

He even beat Kenny Hunter to the punch, which is a pretty tough feat.
