I like, very much, the idea Hewett minds Dawson.
The 2 ex Swans. Hewett was a tagger in many games for the Swans.
Hewett has tagged Crippa, and he wins plenty of possessions doing it.

I dont mind a bit of Helter skelter in the Premiership Qtr. We have the weapons.

The fact that the media doesn't highlight the MRPs incompetence shows how scared they are of AFL wrath.
This idiot should have hardly any cases reversed on appeal. It's not that hard a job.
He is a puppet tryig to please his AFL masters, but he is too stupid to even do that properly.

It just seems being employed by the AFL is like being a former political cabinet ministers etc. You have some sort of job for life e.g. plum trade or diplomat role unless you are embroiled in an unsavoury scandal . Seems like Christian is in the role until he decides to leave or some scandal comes to light

We need to respect Adelaide this time around but we shouldn't fear them:

- Round 1: Blew a 5 goal lead to lose to the Giants, whom we beat
- Round 2: Lost to Richmond at home who are mediocre this season, gave them a crack but fell away
- Round 3: Broke open the showdown late, but Port are flaky and form often goes out the window in these games
- Round 4: Looked good, but Freo were also REALLY bad.

We bring our second half game from Friday, we should get the job done. The problem is you know this team just disappoints time and time again in terms of their 4 quarter performance.

It's all between the ears.

Nobody

Let the umpires report incidents.

Why do we need some idiot rewatching games trying to find things to lynch people for?

They will run run run. we went tall late last year and they ran us ragged.
Unfortunately there is no room for pitto and de koning. It worked really well all year with Silvagni as a back up.

We lost the plot against Adelaide.
We let them run. We didn't pay them enough respect. Boys got ahead of themselves.
Had no idea how to control tempo, when to run, when to hold.
We paid for that dearly thereafter for season 2022.

We've done much better this year with the 2 rucks and Silvagni not rucking at all.

Hope your right!

from AFL website

Expect it to be a big week at the selection table. Sam Docherty will miss up to six weeks after surgery on Tuesday to repair a knee injury, but superstar midfielder Sam Walsh leads a long list of potential inclusions after recovering from a long-term back injury. Blake Acres is available after suspension and a pectoral injury, Matt Kennedy has recovered from a calf problem, while Jack Martin is also fit after a calf issue. Mitch McGovern trained fully on Tuesday and should be fit, having been subbed last week with a knock to his thigh. Midfield duo Paddy Dow (32 disposals, two goals) and Jaxon Binns (31 disposals, two goals) were among the best at VFL level last week, while Brodie Kemp (32 disposals, 13 marks) and Lachie Plowman (27 disposals, 10 marks) could bolster the backline. Alex Cincotta is on debut-watch as a potential Docherty replacement, having been held over from the VFL last weekend as an emergency. - Riley Beveridge

I've gotta say, I hope Harry gets a fair deal in this match and the umpires are looking out for what happens.

In the first quarter alone in just the first ten minutes of the match vs North I spotted two incidents that should have resulted in a clear-cut Harry free kick.

1- he went to mark the ball on the wing, the North player came in to punch the ball but instead punched Harry in the head. Harry winced and bent over in pain. Nothing. Play on...so one has to presume it is now an acceptable standard to punch someone in the head.

2- a few plays later on the wing, his North opponent tunnelled him and grabbed Harry to prevent him getting access to competing for the ball. Another North player marked the ball unconstrained by anyone wrapping their arms around him.

TWO FREE KICKS...in the first 10 minutes...God only knows how many happened after.

Getting very excited.
Looks like I'm getting on a plane for Adelaide.
Got an offer of a Ticket to game and In Business function.
Knees shaking.
Wife at a shoot. Need to her to take son to Swans Academy.

Hewett trained well last night.
Cowan like a cat on a hot roof.
Both will play from the look of them at training.

One thing I overlooked was Fisher's 100th Game against Crows.
Given that, no way will he not be a sub. Lets hope he has a big one.

Last years loss we had SOS as sub. He came on and played well.
Anyone superstitious wont do that again.

Sub no idea. IMO will be SOS or Ed.
But I love Eds ability to shut down their ball mover Laird.
If they aint winning the ball in the middle and feeding outside runners we win.

Can't see Cincotta missing as 7th defender.

Who was the umpire? Its that umpire who is the problem...unless , he's been given directive to treat hits and holds on Harry as playing for a free.

There will be plenty of carlton fans to let them know they missed a free or seven.
