I think people forget that when fit (so not 2014) Armfield has been part of our best 22 for a long time now. I know he has his limitations but for me there are many to go before him. Wouldn't be shocked if he's given one-year contracts as he's closer to the end than the beginning, but I'd be surprised if he was delisted this time around.

He was playing good footy up until he broke his arm. I hope he is given another contract. If we dont re-sign him I am sure another club will pick him up.

Remember the time Armfield got the ball in the middle in the dying minutes against Hawforn, tucked the ball under his arm and showed serious toe under hot pursuit, making a b-line to the 50 and kicked the ball to Fev 10 yards out to win the game........ only Fev hit the post and we lost by like 3 points?

We should have traded Armfield then, while he had currency.

Armfield is the least of our worries. You need some older hardened bodies around kids, and you will get very little for him in any trade. As for Warnock, I have to speak to Stephen Hawkins to work out in which universe he will be useful to us.

No disrespect but I don't think he should be part of the conversation going forward.

He is a so so player, not young, and really another poor kick.

Time to move on.

Agree. My gut feeling is he will stay for another year though as we have a lot of deadwood to remove and can't do it all at once.

None taken.
I don't think he's a gun, just a 'good ordinary player' . Still think Armfield's value to us is greater than what we would get for him... Unless we need list space, but not sure that's an issue.
Warnock... well....

I am pretty sure that Armfield is a free agent so we would get nothing for him.

And then there are others who should go before him. Possibly a one year deal but with another club offering two years then he might leave.

I'd give him 2 as well - you always get 100%, trains the house down so if nothing else from a club "culture" point of view he's going to set a good example to the new kids coming in. we all know he's not going to get a lot better than he is now - just a base contracted depth player

As others have said there are a few in line to go before him.

Oh yes by all means keep but he's not a player I rate too highly nor a player of the future
Yes we need the hard bodies to protect the kids

Ideally I'd like to rookie him as the Saints have done with Schneider, but think realistically a team is going to offer him something better. There simply isn't 684 better footballers in the country.

Disagree. Forward of centre he isn't a liability. He has defensive pressure and can kick goals. Midfield I would agree or half back.

The issue is players need to do more than just one role. Bolton will want players who can use the ball efficiently. Anyone in the forward line needs to go through the middle especially with zones etc.

Armfield is a goer and has some leg speed but he isn't the future. He will probably get another year as we can only clear so many players and he isn't our worst.

If we want Aish it will have to be Bell AND pick 20. We need to be realistic.

Don't think Geel and Rich won't offer second rounders for Henderson and Yarran. Let the games begin.

Should keep Army who's pretty handy.

Keep Dick at a stretch and he can always play on the fat side.

I'm spewing that Carrots is leaving - in fact I didn't really want to bring it up.

Blah blah blah...

Youre a funny bugger Mosche. Still got form.
