Absolutely rapt with today, great performance and I still think we made a few mistakes which stopped us from winning by more. It's been a long 11 weeks and it's great to finally win one!

Was stoked with the performances of Stevens, Carrazzo, Bentick, Simpson, Waite etc Kouta was good, Fev kicked 4, Fisher 3 it was just a good performance all round. Scotland looks to have found some form late in the season too, his third quarter was maginificent, gave Kane Johnson an absolute bath.

23 goals and the third consecutive week in which we've kicked 100+ points. I've said all along that our forward setup looks dangerous if we can get the ball down there and that's proving the case.

I reckon we can win next week and certainly the week after. If we play like that we'll certainly win at least one more and you know what, I hope we win them all and I'll be there cheering us on and CARN THE BLUES!

We can only win one more game can't we to get the priority pick?

Midfield and Forward lines were the killer blow today. The defense is still shaky (but will be better with Thornton back).

I was super impressed by the SSS: Stevens, Scotland, Simpson.

Anyone know why Sporn was a late withdrawl?

If I'm correct and what I heard is true, he was sick or had a injury.
Not sure though.

Like Simpson a lot. Bad haircut and still skinny but he goes real well. Tackles and brings the player down and makes them stick. Real pace and skills. Pretty good pick 45.
Bentick was good. I nearly had a heart attack watching the midfielders today actually chase and tackle.
I suppose when Stevens is actually fit and Campo is playing in the back pocket it makes a big difference. Throw Simpson and Bentick in there and an in form Scotland and suddenly we go okay.
Cant underestimate the big bloke in French in there. Gee we miss him. Physical presence and does not get pushed around and competes well. Just getting some fitness back now and starting to look like the player at the start of the season.

Kouta you really are a champ. I can only imagine how things might have been if you never had those knee injuries. Just great to watch you running and marking on top of blokes and kicking goals. We need your leadership Kouta for next year.

Lance was good today. Real presence and confidence about him. Looks like a weight is of his mind. Like he has been told he will be at another club next year (?) and just feels that at least he knows where he stands.
Lance genuinely looks fitter than a few months ago and is moving better.
It is really tough to take when Lance plays like this and we all know here he should have presented himself like this for the last 5 years but could not be bothered.
Trade value going up if the club wants to go that way.

Well done Blues.

As a caller said on talk back radio after the game, if we don't get a priority pick at the end of the year it will be suicidal.

I will be ropable if we miss out on a priority pick.

Yep we have to get the Priority number #1 pick ... today was to show what we could do when we wanted to .... but we still have to get the number #1 pick ... Add to the list what we saw today for next year :)

I think 2006 will be an exciting year for the Blues ....

But todays win was so sweet....

Great to see Simmo show some mongrel was one of the best games to attend in recent times .. stayed to hear even the guys belt out the song..

GO BLUES

No Houlihan taking football for granted, but players like Simpson, Bentick, Carrazzo who are prepared to scrap, tackle and fight for possession of the pill.Yet are still capable of delivering the ball well without the downhill skiing.

Where is Houlihan at?

Aparatnly the Richmond doctors wanted to bring Richo back on but after doing a concussion test it was clear he was delirious. "He was waffling on about playing finals" said the Doctor. :D :D

I loved the win today and am enjoying it immensely but I will just about hang myself if we move off the bottom and lose the priority pick!

I did not see any Carlton player shirk the issue today like Houla did last week with Lance Franklin. That just made me feel sick inside when I saw it. Watching a bloke like Adam Bentick bleed for the navy blue today when given the opportunity nearly brought me to tears.

Agree totally, sad to say but Houla may have sealed his fate with what has become " the Franklin incident ". Was wrapped to see AB get amongst it today. He was so promising last season but seemed to struggle earlier this year. Does the heart good to know that my faith wasn't misplaced in the boy.
