Derm (shockingly) was spot on in that article Choo. He described Carlton supporters perfectly. Can only hope we don't repeat the pattern and become Richmond (if we aren't already).
Nonsense.

And because of the success in that era they believed they have a God-given right to win.
If it doesn’t happen, they expect the club to just throw dollars at the problem until it is rectified. Once upon a time, the Blues would literally turn up at the state carnivals, go window shopping and then open up the cheque book.
Brereton is showing his ignorance. As are you. To the contrary many supporters are over the cheque book/messiah mentality and would prefer the club take a step back and rebuild properly. Get in a quality coaching group that doesn't see the majority of funding go to a big name has-been.
We should have interviewed a large list of coaches, young and old and picked the best fit for Carlton. Instead we went for the big name so the board could take the on field responsibility off themselves.
To complement that we had Micks best mate coaching the midfield last year who hadn't coached AFL for the best part of a decade. How did that go? The fact it lasted less than a season is telling.
Mick let his petty grievances get in the way and as a result, we've ended up with a sub standard coaching group.
So instead of trotting around with your holier than thou attitude making judgements on what sort of supporters the rest of us are, try not bundling everyone into the same basket.
