Casboult was inconsistent this year and even when firing wasn't great. In some games his attitude was Yaz like. He is a fill in player at best.
We can do better.

Think with our heads not our heart. This is a rebuild. The one we have all been hoping for.

Trade if we get a good offer.

But Casboult gives us something the youngsters will desperately need, presence.

Cas can take a contested mark near goal which is a rare commodity, but, it does appear he will never be much more than a serviceable player and so if a good deal is presented we should consider it given we are rebuilding.

if we plonked levi in the square, had a decent forward structure and a decent midfield delivering the ball he would be a star

If we sell levi it should be high return

Hahaha, if our prez came out with the nonsensical rubbish the Bris prez came out with id be convinced we were being led by a donkey.

You need to get a grip, there's more than one way to skin a cat!!!

A voice on behalf of the club would be nice. Even if it were just to say "get a grip" themselves.

We are only getting uptight because we are craving leadership.

The media will push this to breaking point and Kreuzer will end up mentally wrecked.
For his sake, this has to be put aside for a few weeks.

I understand how the media and us keyboard warrior types are getting worked up into a frenzy but its a frenzy that we have worked up, mostly out of thin air. The number of times (sometimes in one day) when a rumor that gets raised in the morning gets contradicted by a completely opposing rumor in the afternoon is astonishing.

I can' t remember there being so much conjecture and speculation about player movements and drafts as we are experiencing to date and it isn't even first week of the finals yet! Can't imagine the fever pitch tension it will escalate to in October....

We have a fundamental problem that I personally believe the AFL have brought upon themselves by being only partially transparent, by thinking they provide themselves with some leverage to manipulate the system "for the greater good of game" and over complicating this whole process. Too much opportunity for the media and public alike to make up whatever BS they like.

I know for myself that I keep logging onto this damn site to find out the latest on who is or isn't coming or going. I am equally part of the problem

At the same time, I don't think its in Carlton's interest to start responding to some of the BS that is being written about particularly if it locks them into a corner for future last minute opportunism, exposes a hand to other clubs or the AFL or infact just inflames situation further.

Yes, we have a vested interest in the decisions that the club makes and we are all of the belief that its being run by a bunch of monkeys at times but I just have a sneaking suspicion they are so much more in the know on this stuff that we are possibly giving them credit for.

for those in the tl;dr category - Chill out baggers and let the SOS and co deal with it directly

Not craving media bullshit at all.

A lot of clubs are getting stuck into this and their respective spokespeople seem to be relishing the inciting of propaganderous hysteria, I feel we have been lacking a voice.

The same old lines, repeating the Kreuzer is a wanted player are the correct thing to say, because he is.
However, there is a perceived anti Carlton sentiment at play that will need to be addressed as soon as it gets out of hand.

Just one of them telling the media to settle down and focus on the finals would be nice.

Anybody heard what we are getting for Kreuzer yet? it better be a good-in..

There is a chance that Casboult will be about to retire before we a get a midfield good enough to turn him into a superstar

Until that time comes, he is just serviceable..
