Thanks Rhino – further to Steven’s email – FYI we have a round table session next Wednesday night with our Member Council reps to solely discuss Member Recognition.

A top priority for us to improve. There will be some initiatives out of that workshop that we will announce this year – and certainly planning for 2016 and beyond.

I'm done. After 20 years, I can safely say I have no interest in putting another cent into what is a bad business that expects my money, rather than does anything to earn it.

The feedback I have heard about this is that the club must be broke to ask for volunteers and that this is not the type of engagement they are looking for. What I hear is people not renewing because their seats have been “re-classified” and increased a lot in price.

We have over 50 people who have already volunteered their time and we are genuinely trying to reconnect.

I am open to criticism, but there are good people, trying to turn this Club around – and some tough decisions have to be taken along the way.

Our membership pricing was all over the place - and it’s taken me 4 years to put it right. Unfortunately that has meant some people feel they are being ask much more for the same seat – when infact they have been grossly underpaying the market value for that seat. All that said – I appreciate many of those seats were bought when the Club was on its knees.

As of today over 85% of members in the Captains Club Premium category have renewed. We also have a waitlist of members who want to move into those seats – because they do see the value in the seats.

I thought an explanation was in order – I am not defending my decision.

Sent Trigg an email this morning with some feedback. Great to see the fulfillment pack turn up before round 3 for the first time I can remember. Disappointing what happened with member pin/lack of recognition of 20 years membership. Trigg's response was decent enough, but CC'd in Clinton Bown for some reason, who decided to throw his 2c in.
