1 thing pagan wouldnt have any pressure on him and would have the balls to play the young kids AND give them some game time, knowing he wont cop it left, right and centre for losing the game because people understand that what he's doing is for the benefit of our club and take us back to the top.
After all that we've been through since 2002, the bad media, followed by the bad media... I hate the way the Bumbers and Sheedy have got off so easily. They've dropped off and noone saw it coming. Not the media, not Sheedy, and generally not from the hype. This result of the Bumbers in 2006 is a disaster.
Fair enough, they've got Lloyd and Hird out, but in 2002 we had 16 injuries, and by year's end, half a dozen retired.
They've added big old names in Heffernan and Campoeale; premiership players, finals players. What sort of message is that? Sheedy's told us and Campo that they're playing for finals in 2006. They have been on the bottom of the ladder for the majority of the season. This is an embarassment. And they're get away with it.
And here we are with sack Pagan banners, when we should be saying what the **** is Sheedy doing with the Bumbers. If we did that instead of attacking our own, it would deflect bad news stories from us to them, and maybe whilst their brand is being tarnished, we could win over some of their sponsors, or at the very least have a better position attracting sponsors both clubs are vying for.
This aint no party, this aint no disco, this aint no foolin around. We're rebuilding and that is that. Onfield and off field. The Bumbers adoplted a 'youth'policy after round 8. The wheels fell off. Sheedy didn't even now that he was never ever close to getting the Bumbers in the 8. He's lost the plot. Bumbers have lost 13 in a row, and next week they will break their previos record. Pagan's been given the go ahead with a youth policy from the new President. I'm happy to see all our youthful potential unveiled before me; it's fantastic.
I am chuffed though, that a benefactor, or coterie group, and even the AFL are interested in helping/ supporting us through this difficult period. All their help will really give us a leg up to fast track our progress to the 17th Flag.
Well said again, Bondi.
