We cant lose.

If we win, we stick it to Campo.
If we lose, Sheedys PSD leverage goes down the crapper.

I love this game! :-D

Just found out that the game is a tin rattle for the Alfred Hospital - Men's Health Awareness.

More reason to go and in aid of a good cause.

Unfortunately Fletcher should be back to take over from Reynolds this week.

Fletcher is way too overrated to play on the best forward. Essendon* match up to position, not player.

fletcher gets fevola everytime that doesnt mean he isnt overrated just he always gets fev. hopefully sheeds will put joel reynolds on him again  . if fev takes fletcher, bradley takes waite, with no mcphee that leaves kennedy and fisher on two very poor defenders possibly solomon and someone even worse so hopefully we give them plenty of supply and kick a massive score.

Solomon, Richards, and McPhee have been used on Fev much more than Fletcher.

i dont agree except the last game we played against them when he didnt play fletcher has predominantly played on fev everytime and he's started on him on every occasion i can remember and he's probably had the better of fev too so i really hope fev sticks it up him this week with at least 5 goals.

The problem for Fev in the past is that McPhee has matched up very well on him out of all of Sheedy's choices because Fev didn't work hard on his contested work.

Now he does all that sort of stuff so Sheedy is bereft of a true option for Fev.

Reynolds gets blown away on the lead and in the square, Fletcher on the lead, McPhee in the square, Solomon again both, and if Richards was still with the Dons he would struggle in the square against Fev.

Sheedy may try Bradley, but I think Fev would either run him ragged or outpoint him on the lead.

Fletcher hasn't started on Fev in about 3 years- he has always been a last resort.

the best part is they cant afford to double-team him because then waite, fisher and kennedy are going to murder them.

That would be the plan at an overall level I'd say, yes.

We definitely want to win this. Mainly for bragging rights over Essendon* supporters, and also to save ourselves from the embarrassment of our 3rd wooden spoon in 5 years. The No.1 pick is suddenly less valuable, and not all clubs think it should be Bryce Gibbs. It would be good to see Waite in defence on Lucas, I think he will be suited to him more than Setanta. Thornton should play on Johns. Lance and Waite should switch a bit, Lance did a lot of pushing forward last week to exploit McMahon and provided a good option up forward especially when Fev wasn't firing.

i'd like to see lance get lucas and if we play our cards right, we could use waite to really stretch their backline. If that doesnt work, we could always make plenty of switches as long as waite is available to play.

I think it will be close.Essendon* were good last week.Lovett will have to be watched.Reynolds finally showed something. And Sheeds might not be in the box which gives the Dons a real chance.

I said 50 points to somebody the other day. No reason why we can't.

Unless we are tanking.

Lovett is one to watch for sure - played very well on Sat. Also Watson was very good. I'd like to see McGrath on him and give 1AW an attacking role.

Except that we’ll still keep looking for Fev.

Hopefully Fisher plays with some self preservation in mind.

I love watching his "gung-ho" attack on the ball but he is to light to out mark Fev in a pack.

8. Fev is in career-best form. How much confidence does it give the midfield to have Fevola leading to your kicks?
When you are forward of centre with the ball, you definitely try to kick it to him – every now and again you look up and he may have 2-3 opponents on him but sometimes you still go for him. You know that DeLuca, or someone else could be free, but he’s in such good form you want to get it to him. Sometimes you get to him like that and he still gets away with it. Plus, he kicks it from so long out that you can be very confident he’ll kick the ball through.
