That's fine Deano, at least you know how to spell the name.

I cany believe there are 38 replys to a thread about Drew's commentary.Ok he can be irritating at times but i reckon they were on the money. Both teams played shit. There were heaps of turnovers and if either team had been playing a gun side in form they would of have got smashed.Good win by the Blues, but put it into perspective Melbourne were horrible yesterday and shat their dacks like they always do when people start talking them up.Picketts loss in my view was the difference. They were like babies without their pacifiers.

I reckon the ABC callers got it right.Loved the win but Melbourne were flower hopeless. And if we are to have 38 replys about how shithouse Drew is we should have 380000 posts about the man who knows flower everything and is an expert on every subject known to man woman and child.I reckon Derm the Jerm is 100000 timers more irritating than Morphett.

From memory, Morphett is supposedly a Blues supporter !!

I'm pretty sure he's a Collingwood supporter actually.

I spoke to him years (and years) ago at a Coodabeens function and both he & Tim Lane told me that they follow the Blues.

However, I met him on another occassion at CH 9 some years later whilst attending the briefing for the cricket world cup. I was with Keith Stackpole (who is a Pies fan) and Morphett spoke to him about Darren Millane and what a waste of life etc (it was the day that Millane had died in that car accident) and it did sound like he was Pies man afterall.

Maybe he just barracks for whoever it suits at the time ??

Frank I guess what Sheik was trying to say in his very own style was -

"I only listened to a mere 25% of the ABC call and during that time I didn't hear anything similar to what you have suggested. Perhaps it was in the other 75% of the game I wasn't listening to"

Is that a more accurate assessment of your thoughts Sheik?

Regards Cazzesman

I was of the opinion that my comments were pretty clear to understand and didn't need further explanation but thanks for ensuring that the braindead & dyslexic now understand it too.

They were crystal clear Sheik, crystal clear. And anyone who suggests you were even vaguely suggesting Frank was wrong, is wrong. Is that correct.

ps hope the blarney joke wasn't a racist dig Shieky baby, we wouldn't want that now would we - that would be two warnings. 8)

But hey just keep dropping names until someone is impressed. :garthp:

You wont get an argument from me about how bad Dermott is but at least Im not funding him to the tune of 7 cents a day - MORPHETT was extraordinarily condescending yesterday and if he is bored I dont want to know about it he can not commentate - if he thinks it is a shocking game and my team is going to win after losing for 10 weeks but is hoping they will lose or stuff up so they can lose I dont want to know - I want to know what Sellars /Stan Alves think - If I want that crap from Drew I could always listen to that Hunt fellow -which I choose not to
We look to the ABC for quality and a cut above the rest Drew has neither

No you Wally ................. I am not suggesting that Frank is wrong, however, I did not, for the time I listened to the call hear the alleged comments.

Is that better ???

After being forced to put up with Hunt & his band of idiots last week talking about everything but the game & hearing the fat lady sing well before the game was over I'll put up with Morphett any time.

They didn't do our game. The way we're travelling we're every one's last choice and have to put up with whichever radio station gets the short straw every week as well as Shaw & co on Fox Footy.

I listened to the game, and Drew did say it was a bit boring at times.

It was the other commentator who said that we were the worst team in football. He also made some very harsh statements about us not deserving our premierships for being terrible cheats.
I wonder what it is like to be as pure as the driven snow like all the other teams in the VFL/AFL.

Drew Morphett barracks for Carlton. I think he was more worried that we were going to blow it again.

He is a very good commentator. His mate is a smart arse, and should listen to Drew, to get a few tips on commentating.

MMM is not as bad as 3AW "the best" (thats a joke), but they still talk amongst themselves when the game is on, and we are trying to hear where the ball is.

.

There's a thread about that bloke in Talking Issues

PS I'd always thought Morphett was a St K supporter...or maybe that's Sandy Roberts :?

In any event Drew's voice alone is enough to shit me...

Drew was asked on the Radio last year (?) about who he barracked for. He said he has never been a supporter of any one team. He sounds like that kid in primary school who would always change teams depending on who were the premiers.
