Dean coached Old Melbournians in the VAFA this year and is moving to Mulgrave in 07.
The EFL is a highly competitive comp and Ricey wouldnt be getting the gig unless he was 100%.

I'd take this rumour with a grain of salt.

Mitcham interviewed him a few weeks ago, but he opted for Mulgrave.

Rice was appointed development manager of the Gippsland region a few weeks ago to replace Paul Hudson. This role also includes coaching the TAC power side.
Dean had previously accepted the Mulgrave job so I'm not sure how they recieved his "moving on".

I'd suggest this finally puts to bed a rumour that apparently was started by a troll on Bigfooty and has continued to grow legs.

I think you need to check that out Blue Vain. I thought I read somewhere in here that Adrian Hickmont is replacing Paul Hudson.
Looked pretty official.

Thanks Doc and Woof.
I heard a while back that Rice had accepted a Football Victoria development position and assumed it was the Gippsland role, not the VCFL position.

It's great to see ex Carlton players going on to be involved in football development, especially Hicky who will be super enthusiastic for the kids.
2 of my all time favourite players.

Getting back to the original point, obviously Dean is doing well physically to be taking on such a substantial position.

Sounds good for Ricey and Hickers. Hope they can point us to a lot of untapped talent.
