For me it shows that we need to always remember, like Pagan / Smorgon or not, we need to show them respect for putting their balls on the line for the club. As stated earlier, Pagan comes in every day to the hardest job in football and gives his all.
If people want them gone, then that is fine, but do it through the proper channels and show all Carlton people respect.
As far as people saying they shouldn't have time to do this doing trade week, Get a Life. A call to one supporter is a great thing.
SA Blue, that's exactly what a high level approach should be by the supporters; through thick or thin. I love it!
The people on these forums take a serious interest and involvement of this mighty club. They are far from taking a high level views of the club. They are intimate, passionate and tragic supporters, but of benefit to the club (well some are just aggressive). They are members, and committed to the cause; to win more flags.
They make suggestions; in the main.
Some make constructive criticism; and apply it as an artform. Have a look at the next quote for example:

Fantastic. It's a start. Now, next time someone is lucky enough to talk to Denis, can they ask him to try to CONNECT, CONVERSE, STRIKE UP A RELATIONSHIP with his players. That might help a little!
Oh and one more thing. Could they ask Denis when was the last time he spoke to his players? Was it the Sunday night after we played the Swans in round 22, before he left to come back to Melbourne, whilst all the boys stayed up in Sydney? Except of course for Thornton whom he tried to communicate with this week, but well and truly after the horse had bolted
.
Great example of constructive criticism preacher.
Praise and criticism, but some good advice, using DP's ability to communicate (by calling Ryan) and eluding to effort as the catalyst for building stronger relationships (which it appears is not strong). Being able to communicate and doing it is not the same as not enabling the possibility; it's the gap with DP.
There's room for improvement. Making the effort to Ryan, heartens most of us to believe that there is an element of change for the positive with the top end of management; if only they can keep it up at a high and consistent level with the players and the media.
The masses who just follow Carlton have to know something that's going on their club, to feel connection, inclusiveness, and with that the memberships will slowly rise, and they only get that from the media. The board and DP have not done enough of it. And when they have, they have been rather cliche, and we are none the wiser. Spruiking is what most call it.
Thanks again Ryan
Ryan, do you think that Gibbs would be better selection than Leuenberger or Hansen, and do you think that we might go for Gibbs to keep the supporters happy when we really desperately need firstly ruckmen and next a CHB before picking Gibbs?
