When and not if Hurley is found guilty, will the AFL suspend him for bringing the game into disrepute. Nearly killing a taxi driver is just a touch worse than Juddy's indiscretion in the finals last year.
If they don't whatever happened to the role model they like to talk about and the clean image the players should portray. Or will it be that not enough damage was caused as Hurley didn't give the taxi guy a head high tackle?
We are still waiting on the AFL to punish Fevola - after the witch hunt from the Herald-Sun which demanded we punish him.
Seems strange the silence from the AFL and Herald-Sun on the Hurley case.
Fev is a draw card so the AFL will do nothing.
Hurley looks like he will go through the diversion program so there is no pleading guilty or a conviction, so he too will get off scott free. Why Essendon* have not penalised him is a mystery, suppose there is no media witch hunt so they will do nothing.
