Penny - dud
Powell - dud. The worst kick of a football since Richmonds Michael Laffy
Thomson - average at best
Peckett - as above
McGough - what were they thinking, quite possibly the slowest player to ever play the game of AFL
guerra - did SFA, basically a one trick pony (the charge), actually no, he's a dud
Ackland - average, Barney should murder him
Baker - average, pseudo tough guy (in his defence, the only tough player they have with Hammill)
Goddard - good at times then seems to have brain freezes. Lets not recruit him

I'm sure there's a couple more.

They are crap, ripe for the picking with injuries etc and owe them for last yrs debacle.

I haven't read so much utter crap before on this site...

Just have a good look at your list before taking shots at other clubs lists FFS

Your comment re Powell just take the cake....

Last time we played you Powell had 21 Possessions and kicked 3 goals...

Your other comments just proves you know stuff all about the game...

If you were able to think objectively, I think you'd probably realise these duds are the prime reason why you continue to underperform. It is unrealistic to expect your good players to carry this number of lesser players.

I think you will find that 99% posters on this board realise we have significantly more duds on our list than yours, and accept that we need to rebuild. That is not the debate.

Your time is now and you are unable to grab the opportunity.

BTW - Are you trying to tell me Powell is a good kick?

Your comments that Penny and Powell are duds is a joke...

Penny is just returning from a knee injury and last year was one of the Full Backs in the comp...

Powell lacks penetration in his kicks and is by no means the worst kick of the football (as you put it) also Powell did a very limited pre season and missed the first few round because of a back injury and is improving his fitness each week.

Your other comment that we are crap is also a joke....

most of these (dud?) players wherein the team that spanked you buy 100 points last year, so what do is that say about the calibre of players at Carlton.

Carlton have as much chance of winning, as lance has of walking past a McDonald's without drooling

Cudos for the lance comment.

ST K aren't crap, they just havent "maximised their potential and been able to grow their capabilities and project their for/against ratio to a more favourable dynamic."

I'm pretty sure that is Cornflakes-speak for "we don't win nearly enough given we're chockers with talent."

Powell kicks helicopters that normally travel 30 mtrs tops.

If you haven't noticed, you are losing games you are expected to win and with a few more of your better players injured on the weekend to add to the already hefty injury/poor form toll, you are vulnerable.

Count yourselves lucky we lack enforcers to attack that soft underbelly of yours

Gtrain is most likely going to get derailed by the tribunal this week. Bondy on 3AW reckons he will get 2 weeks.

Sorry but he got off!

I'm a reluctant tanker. But I want us to win this week more than the games against Filth and Scum later in the year. I would love to come out and drill these F@%&#! and their band wagon jumping supporters by 12 goals after easing off in the last. Surely we can hope for one more win can't we?

Heavs, I have got to agree with you. I dislike St Kilda as they are right now and how they have ridiculed Carlton in the last couple of years. They made it out as if the Blues were nothing more than witches hats used for training drills. Well, if you can't get angry after two hammerings like that you never will. The motivation for revenge must be intense, and if there are players not fired up enough for this encounter then they don't deserve a spot in the side. Cause some physical carnage..

He doesn't have a charge to answer?
Over at SS they seem to think he has an injured hand as well.

Stephen Powell has always been an ordinary at best kick, but he's a big, tough body and his value to the Saints is not in his disposal of the ball but the fact that he gives them a hardened, seasoned player in the middle. He's no better a kick than a lot of our players but he has a bit of toughness about him that few of our players possess.

I hate you yoiu hate me - God I am sick of the pettiness of all this. The truth is some ar ejealous because st Kilda have talent and some are jealous because we have won 16 flags - well hottdetoot who gives a flying fig's chances of finding peace!

of course st kilda ridiculed us - we deserved it! Imagine any club that had a president strutting around pinching bums, smoking wherever, cheating hand over foot and, and saying over and over again 'we don't rebuild!' -Its all I can do not to ridicule us!

of course the sainters are dancing on our foolish collapse - why shouldn;t they - just as we would on the filth's or the scums and they do on ours etc.

But lets just try and keep it all in perspective and not carry on about my wooden spoon is bigger than yours! It really gets so @#$%&! boring!

Who cares what they write on their site - its their site let them! We hang shit on them all the time here - why wouldn't they be doing the same over there?????

fair dinkum its football its passionate, we are the best and they are shite - bit it is just football.

not a chance Carlton will beat St Kilda.
Will probably lose by 10+ goals in fact.

Pagan has lost the players, and the club has as a good as raised the white flag already.

good post dannyboy

I for one steer clear of rubbishing other clubs, because it just comes back to bite you one day...

I like footy and am passionate, but tend not to rubbish players or clubs..

I'd say thanks St F but then I'd be accused of being a closet sainter and a mate of garths and that would just be unbearable

I'm looking forward to this game, always like playing Carlton. I just wish Sammy was playing, that's always amusing.

Sammy doesn't have many games left in his broken down body

Sammy plays/Sammy doesn't play... Who cares - I want to see Walker go with ball and I want to see if we can repeat that first half and extend it beyond the half time break - imagine 3 quarters of football....

No Riewoldt, no Gehrig, maybe no Hamill and even if he plays he can't be too fit, no Harvey...we can bloody win this game.
