Rowe got smashed today - until Dixon(?) went off. Good after that. His confidence fluctuates very widely from week to week. He just has to keep backing himself to read the ball in the air.

Yep ..... he'll have another very tall opponent in Boyd next week. Should be interesting.

Great to just have an "average win". Good teams do that every second week.

Buckley and Graham good again, and Cripps was great after working off the tag. He is a beast. Set shot kicking is his Achilles Heel though and he missed 2 sitters today. Hopefully Sav can sort him out ?

And how good is it to have the Big Krooz running around ? Just adds so much around the ground.

Ellard showed on many occasions today why he is not genuine AFL and next week Boekhurst must come in ?

Ra da da da da.

Good win against undermanned side who worked hard.

Really like our running defence. Kruezer getting better each week. Yarran looked more interested. Everitt showing real promise as a tall mobile forward.

Good to see another kid get a chance and show something. Amazing what happens when given a go. Earnt a full game for next week.

I am concerned about what we are doing with Menzel. If injured why are we playing him because he is struggling. Not doing anyone any good.

We need added real class through the middle and a big key forward but can't question our effort and improvement.

Perfect summation psych
Going next week for the first time in over 3 years.
The club is changing off field in how it does things as well

I think we're screaming out for a key back more than a key forward. Rowe was very very dodgy by foot a number of times today. He will do a reasonable job on the ruckman type forward but not so much the agile forward. White has a crack but is undersized and Jamieson is on the wrong side of his peak. Casboult, Hendo and Everitt is a reasonable forward line. I think we really need a big strong skilful back.

If Hendo stays I believe in a good side he is a defender. We also have Jaksch & Giles coming through and I still believe White, Jamison & Rowe have a few years yet. Get a dominant midfield and they will look much better.

No way, Rowe has to go.
He won't. Alternating good and bad/ordinary games at present. He'll be better when he's not the no.1 key defender. We don't have alot yet so, despite his limitations, he won't be going.

cripps has a nice ball drop and his foot kicks through the ball. i think he's only problem lining up for goal, is he's so gassed when he gets into the front fifty, his fatigue and length strength just isn't there.

i think it's pretty common for mids when they're early in their career to pretty average at set shots for this reason.

cripps was brilliant again today despite the tag

his hands are crazy - the handball that setup armfields awesome goal early in the second half was a ridiculous bullet

todays game will do him wonders

At least you know it won't take him 6 years to get better at it.

Interesting to read how GC were undermanned and poor performers.
This is the team who went down by 7 points to the top side last game. They played average footy today because they couldn't get the ball. Our stoppage work was excellent again and our ball movement is improving by the week.
Dont underestimate the improvement. We have always had the capability to win the ball, finally we are playing a game style that gives us more opportunity to retain it.

According to Dermie he was beaten by Dixon because he is 4cm taller and therefore has around 10 extra reach than Rowe. I would like to know how he calculates that. Does it mean that if you are 4cm taller it is guaranteed that you will get an extra 6cm advantage because your arms will be 6cm longer than your opponent? Sorry Dermie but I do not understand your logic.

This was one of the games that, in our recent history, we would lose so very pleased with the win. It was bad luck we didn't make the more use of the many chances we created.

I accept that Ellard gives his all and is possibly better than VFL level but today again proved that it is not AFL level and there is no way he should ever play in a Carlton jumper again. Holman showed more skill and football nouse in just a quarter of football than Ellard has for the whole of the year. After watching Carrots closely today it confirmed for me that it is just about time for him to also say goodbye to AFL.

It was good to see Yazz enjoy his football today. He seems to be in a much better headspace than he was a month ago.

Not too concerned about Rowe playing one on one against the talls the concern is his disposal. His disposal from day one is crap, along with White we tend to start games at least 3 goals behind due to their decision making. They cough up goals, we will be very average until Rowe, White and Carrazzo can't get a game. I'm not questioning their desire or effort.

Casboult despite missing a couplr has clearly improved his kicking. More work required but definitely a much better action.
Patrick Cripps is my favourite player! Sure he was tagged, but he was able to break it and even under enormous pressure he was able to create some amazing clearances.

There was maybe three or four goals gifted to the suns from horrific umpiring, I hate to see that, it just kills the game.

Dermott brereton was a good player but a horrible commentator. NFI.

Loved holmans impact in the last, nice to see somone with nice footskills in the team!

Everitt surprised me today. I know now his high one finger celwbration is a result of his aversion to germs or something, but get over it. Your playing a tough contact sport and you worry about giving a high five?

Bokehurst is a must this week. Ellard yiy have showed some workman like qualities but you were awful today.

On face value, no problem looking at Carlisle. He can play and play well. Just buyer beware as he's liable to get a year or two due to the WADA appeal.

If Jammo comes in, they need to drop a tall. So it's Rowe or White I suggest. Wood was too good today to drop. I thought White hardly put a foot wrong today. Who will it be ?

Bell needs to stop hacking the shit out of the ball , when he handballs the results are much better.

I'm loving how Everitt is doing. Bargain as he didn't even cost us a draft pick. Just a drop from pick 32 to 37. Got that one right it looks.
