Pitto is our mature bodied, honest , hard working ordinary Ruck-man at the center square.
Else were on the ground he has deficiencies. He would protect younger up and coming young ruck man.
He’s not the issue it’s Reidy that was a curly choice.

Pitto is the best we have.
Pity his battered body can only handle 60% GT at full throttle,
Pitto goes well early in the game at CB. Harry gives a chop out but no good against jumping ruckmen at CB
That combo though should be right without English playing this week.

Players will be playing for Vossy. Hang on ......

Yep, will be fun to see him play, but I still think he's one that would benefit from a longer stint in the VFL team's winning, modern team. Hopefully since they have promoted him, he'll get a block of 3 or 4 like Tayylor got.

I'd go:

Dean - L. Young - Wilson
Florent - Weitering - Newman
Carroll - Walsh - Hollands
Ainsworth - McKay - Hayward
Ison - McGovern - F. Young
Pitto - Williams - Smith

Cowan - Cripps - Hewett - Cerra - Derksen

If Ison is in whose spot is he taking?
Similar height as Kemp, different body shape, or Gov?
Kemp is probably our leading goal kicker at the moment, and been all heart, but hasnt nailed many drop punts all year.
Based on Kemp losing all confidence in his kicking last week, I'd say Kemp.

Do we reward Derksen for kicking straight and giving Kemps time to sort out his head?
If Kempy hasn't sorted out his head with his drop punts at goal I'd say he's the weakest link.
He may have kicked 9/10 at training this week. Who knows?

Saad injured, I'd like to see cowan given more midfield time.
Fat chance Charleson is picked to play BP, otherwise we would have heard he's debuting, but I'd like to see:

IN Ison, Derksen, Charleson, Young
OUT Kemp Evans Saad Haynes

B: Wilson Young Dean
HB: Newman Weitering Florent
R: Pittonet Walsh Williams
C: Carroll Cripps Hollands
HF: Hayward Derksen Smith
F: Ainsworth McKay McGovern

I: Charleson Cerra Hewett Cowan Ison

E: Kemp Haynes Evans Lord

I'd like to see Cowan & Cerra in the middle and if needed support in the backline if kids Wilson and Charleson struggle.
I am a fan of Cerra at HB,but we need rotation sin the middle against a good midfield squad.

I feel kemp has credits for some of his performances this year, but hey, New Coach, New Game Plan. Maybe Skills matter now.

It is hard to know who is injured and who is not. I am sure a number of our players have been carrying niggles which have hampered their performance. I say that we should rest these guys and make sure that they are cherry ripe before they play.

So, I am just going to guess that Williams and Florent are still injured. They were last Friday night. Give them a week off. I maintain that I would have started Dean in the twos this year. He is going OK, but probably needs a rest. Many players in the twos deserve a call up (even the oldies). They should all get an extended go before the end of the year (even Fog).

Out: Williams (inj), Florent (inj), Dean (managed), Haynes (omitted)
In: Ison, F Young, L Young, Derkson

B: Newman, Weitering, McGovern
HB: Saad, L Young, Wilson
C: Carroll, Cripps, O Hollands
HF: F Young, McKay, Hewitt
F: Hayward, Kemp, Ainsworth
Foll: Pittonet, Walsh, Smith
Int: Cerra, Cowan, Derkson, Evans, Ison

Hurt his pinky with the last handball to the opposition and handing them the game.

lol

Apparently did his hamstring at training this week. Surely he’s done now. Might get a farewell game but that’s it.

Also Matt Carroll left training early so could be a late out.

This tells me a bit about mindset of coaches and players. Let’s see.

I think in a week of turmoil they didn't want to make any radical changes so not too surprised there was only one change.

Lots of games ahead to give the kids more of a go.
