I thinks the Roos and Dogs would be first cab of the rank for the AFL and the litmus test will be seeing which clubs volunteer to play some home games up on the Gold Coast first and how they go in terms of attracting patrons and TV ratings...if it was a reasonable success for either club say then the next step might be a series of fixtured games for the following season or two, leading up to a AFL offer to relocate on a permanent basis....my tip...the kangas as the Gold Coast Roos..replace that navy blue shark with a Kangaroo...

I view the second team in Sydney concept as perhaps where we might face a challenge or two if the club was still down on and off the field in say 5-10 years time....I see us being a better fit in Sydney than say the Western Bulldogs. in terms of marketing and having more support...

Anybody heard that the Kangaroos and Bulldogs are holding talks at the moment? It appears that legal advice has overlooked the point that if the AFL were to accede to the united clubs wishlist, then the clubs would get stuff all, as the agreements in place means most of the money would go to the players first. I wonder if it has anything to do with shoring themselves up in Melbourne or taking advantage of the Southport offer by sharing some Gold Coast games? Interesting times ahead.

It's no wonder they are not talking to us then in that case. :)

I am lead to believe that we will be looked at for a merge or possible relocation. Our financial position will be used as leverage. The next five years will tell.

This will NOT happen.

We will recover out of this mess.
