I agree with JohnM, we should honorably lose the next 2 games for the sake of the future of our great club, we have gone through a lot of pain this seaon & to not get a priority pick would be criminal, c'mon all you members & supporters, see the light, it is the only way to go, do you all really want to give colliscum a priority pick - noooooooooo

HOW?

who do you drop?

what coaching tactics do you employ?

It is not as easy as saying 'Lets Tank', especially honourably.

Jars, why do you bother?

No 1 draft picks are the bees knees.

Travis Johnstone
Brendan Goddard
Des Headland

Who wouldn't eat a bag of shit to get one of these also-rans in the navy blue?

Goddard will be a pretty good player under a coach who knows more about football than corporate-wank speak.

Yeah 'cos he has also ruined the careers of Ball, Dal Santo, Kosi and Riewoldt, hasn't he?

... and the list goes on.

Wait for someone to tell us that the technology is much better now. Every top 5 draft pick is scientifically proven to be superhuman.

He tried his best with Kosi but came up short. At least he's playing the others in position. Goddard was touted as a potential superstar midfielder and has been turned into a fat, slow, soft half back flanker by "Mr Process".

Look at this year for example.
Deledio, Roughead, Griffen, Franklin and Tambling.
Apart from Tambling anyone would be happy with 1 of those 4 and who knows who will be the best out of them.
I still think we wont beat Essendon* or the Roos and get a priority pick.

BUT THEY ARE!!!! Everyone knows that picks outside the top three are just a lucky dip!

PS. Tanking also gives us first pick in the rookie draft, which is where all the players who got passed over 100x in the ND go, and we're sure to pick up some guns there.

Not to mention a Jade Rawlings type in the PSD!

The future is dark, we're going to be stuck in no mans land for the next 10 years. Wait a minute, that means we can deliberately lose more games! Losing games = Draft picks. Draft picks = premierships!

You should be ashamed of yourself, Dean.

I'd love Deledio in the Navy Blue.

my preference is Griffen but whos counting.
Those 2 big blokes that Hawthorn recruited may very well be more important than the other midfielders in setting them up.
Is the whole Hawks will take Ellis and we can take Murphy going to start now I wonder?

Those who cite the Geelong example should also cite the Adelaide example.

just 2 top 10 draft picks but 2nd on the ladder and a huge chance for a flag.

Roughead is going to be a gun and we probably need his type as much as a Deledio or Griffen (who's already had half one knees cartilage removed  )

Chris Judd and Luke Ball Mk II. We can only hope!

In all honesty I don't worry about who we pick up until draft day, and then when we select them they have my full support. I'm one of the few supporters who refuses to crucify a player on our list unless blatantly warranted.
