I reckon 95% of carlton supporters think we need to tank .. it's logical for a long term future ... Go Bummers!

Some questions to those on this site that manage to turn most threads these days into "tanking".

Are you going to the game this weekend and if you are why ? Why go to a game to cheer your team on to a loss ? If you are serious about making a "tanking" statement to the club, then boycott the final two matches.

Seriously what difference will it make to the club if you attend or not. Your membership is paid up for, so the only benefit by your presence is to the caterers. Don't go. Stay home and tank from home. :-D :-D

Alternatively if you can't bring yourself to missing the game, then why not go and just boo for every goal we kick and cheer for every point we score. I think this will send a strong message to the club and the AFL.

Tank talk is cheap. Take action to demonstrate how you feel about tanking i challenge you tankers to be proactive. Make a stance , stay away or boo us. Why not this way the message sent is clear...

By the way i'll be staying away. Not because i'm tanking, rather working.
I can see a credible loss coming up. An after the siren point by Lloyd that will devestate us. :-D

I know how to solve the problem Tractor Boy, you do what you want to do, which I'm sure you do - which is great, then let other people do what they want to do :!:

Problem solved.

Isn't great when we agree . And you are right everyone has every right to do as they think best. Say think and action on, all i was suggesting is that in order to send a clear message something more obvious might be the way to go. But you are correct. And a one point loss still serves its purpose, that drawn match against the Power it hurts now :o .

Oh well. :-D :-D :-D

Is this houlihan's last chance, or are we simply going to showcase our trade bait?

their forward line is still pretty impressive. whitnall doesn't really have a direct match-up that works, although i guess i thought that about richardson too. Hird, Lloyd, Lucas, Hille, Watson - all pretty big and agile which will really stretch us if they control the centre. I guess Watson is slow enough for Whitnall? With Livo still out, Thornton Whitnall and Teague aren't tall enough to take this at all, looks like a tank selection policy.

But our midfield should be far better, especially as the Bombers really only have one defensive midfielder in peverill. the johnsons talk tough but their opponents still get the ball, so i think we'll win it out of the middle

Which is probably where we'll win. Their defence looks about as bad as Fitzroy's last defence, LM as FB and Welsh as CHB you're kidding right?

Looks like a shoot out but with French winning the ruck and a loose midfield set-up I think we'll win 130-110.

I'd expect Scott Lucas to chop our backline up if they can get it out to him. Far too mobile for anything we've got at present.
