In an ordinary 4 years Thornton has been one of the few shining lights. He is entitled to some bad games and hasnt played many games.

Thornton recorded his 4th tackle for the year today & is ranked last in the team.

That's simply amazing for a backman, even with the time he's been injured.
will someone please sack camporeale??
pretty please....
I agree..... why does he consistantly get into the best based on posessions?

His disposal is seriously disturbing and the majority of it is simply dangerous to his team mates

I don't care who plays this week because after this week they'll have 6 months to recover and improve.

I agree with Dukes, we always blame someone and usually its Ryan. I think we just need to blame someone else. Try Campo or Stevens or someone else, but don't blame anyone this week, coz no matter what, we'll get a long rest to recover and get ready for next year.

As a team we are crap at the moment but that isn't to say every player is crap.Put some of our bigger name under performing players into a good side and they will play much better than they do with us.

Thats why other clubs will still be interested in them and thats why they still have currency.

The way I see it, a key forward is defined by the teams midfield.

Our midfield shit so therefore Fevola plays like shit.

Imagine what sort of scores West Coast could kick if they had a genuine star forward like Fevola or Brown etc etc?

Once our midfield is up and running again, Fevola will hit his straps and take the comp by storm.

Agreed Fev is a match winner and needs a good supply!, Having Fisher, Waite and Betts allows Fev to be opposed by 1 opponent rather than 3 each week. Remember if Fevola did a Tarrant and ran up the ground onto the wing, to gather the ball himself, everyone would bag him because he is not playing his position. All we need is more takling more when the ball is in our attacking 50.

In a few years we will be saying how our forward line is unstoppable.
ALthough we are crying out for a natural FB. Carlton has many running flankers who are too attacking which allows there opposition to zone off. Our skills aren’t up to scratch which means turnovers happen far too regularly and the free men hurt us. The Backline concedes too many points per game (I think we average 110 points against). Although we need defensive playmakers in the backline, they need to at least be accountable for there man.
We still need a leading midfield which is still a fair way away! Bentick has been outstanding however I don’t think he’s body will be able to stand 22 games in 2006 on the ball.
