All clear from table 35, although dannyboy did make a few innapropriate comments. :P

Tommi was saying something about Dannyboy's niece.

Maybe Fev noticed her too and was saying FWOAARRRR or something like that, whioch was misinterpreted as "BOLLOCKS" when Big Nick's speech was going on.

It seems we're worse than a rabble atm so a statement needs to be made at the trade table this year. The club needs to gain some respect back.
Get rid of the poison NOW!!!

Weigh it up here. A trade of Brendan is good for him and good for the club. It gives him the chance to go and look for a premiership elsewhere, and it gives us a chance to cash in on him while he is still a commodity. Hold onto him, and we'll be like Richmond are with Richardson - saying if only we had have given him away when he was younger. Synbad's favourite comparison side is St Kilda - well they got their rebuilding well and truly underway when they got rid of Barry Hall. We can do the same with Brendan. Personally if we landed Goddard and the Saints' first draft pick for him I'd be delighted. But if he's still on the books at 30, throwing tantrums and making more of his time on the Footy Show than he does on the footy field then I'd be pretty disappointed. Nice guy, and good luck elsewhere Brendan.

I understand your point showbag, but the simple words "get him to pull his head in" appear to be a task beyond anyone at Carlton. Personally I would like to keep Fevola, but what is the point if the coach is at his wit's end (see the earlier "principles" comment by Pagan) and the player appears to not really care. How many times do we have to have a quiet word with Brendan before he takes responsibility for his own actions?

For a suitable trade, and I think the days of us majorly dudding ourselves at the trade table are gone, I'd completely understand the club parting ways with him.

Likewise with Lance.

It doesn't matter how good a player is, if their attitude is screwed they can become a liability.

This is bloody infuriating. Does anyone else wish Fev and said it directly to Nick's face - I know who would have ended up on the floor.

Yeah I remember you writing that PJ. Can't remember the exact context of it though.

@#$%&! em all. This is Carlton and they can @#$%&! themselves if they dare hold the blues to ransom. I'd rather the club not have Campo, Whits, Fev, Lappin if they think they are above the club.

What's Fev's story? I don't get the bloke.

The way he carries on you would think he is games greatest player and everyone else is below him.

Hate to tell you it Fev but you have achieved nothing to date. No Premierships, No Coleman Medals, No Brownlows and Not even a B&F for the worst club in the completion.

Wish you would just cut out the Prima Dona superstar crap and do the hard work that's required to become a good player. The thing that separates you from the games great (or even decent) key forwards is that they have achieved something.

The only thing about Fevola that represents superstar status is his pay packet!

Wake-up!

We can't afford to get rid of Fev AND Whittas.....Our forward line needs more than Fisher and Waite...and don't throw Setanta at me..he is at least a year away yet.

I truly believe that Carlton is at a very important juncture of its existence at the moment and can shape were the club goes for the next 10 years. I am a HUGE Fev fan. Love watching him at his best and always prepared to talk him up. Let's not look at the B+F in isolation but make a list of all the times he has failed our club. There was last week, the bummer game, the aints game and regular displays of disinterest and bad body language.

Whits as well has been essentially ineffective since 2001. He did not stand up when we needed him since then and is obviously unable to be a strong, consistent contributor in a Pagan team.

If Carlton is really going to turn a new leaf and make some progress in the future then perhaps both of these players need to depart. Fev's petulance and immaturity are having a real bad impact at the club. He has always gotten away with his regular misdemeanours so he simply can't change because he has been spoilt by the club. Whitts as well fails to prepare to a standard that is required and has no true role on field and only puts in when the pressure is on. These characteristics are unwelcome at Carlton. And I believe that expecting these two to change is unrealistic.

I would love for any trades for these 2 to perhaps be conducted in the lead up to a super draft as touted for next year and perhaps acquiring additional 1st round picks. But for the good of Carlton we might be unable to wait.

I have been a supporter of the trade Whits push but if Fev's comments are for real then they really are the straw that broke Camel's back!!!
So perhaps both can go

Yeah, we might not have these key forwards and be a little short up forward but we'll have a clean slate and can build the team up again without any petulance

I am officially pissed off.

1) If he said this then bye, bye Fev. Not acceptable to have someone openly disrespect a legend of the club.
2) If there is a cancer in the playing group excise it now before it infects the younger players. They have had all the chances in the world to turn it around. Don't worry about getting a great deal in the trade, just get rid of them. The damage they do off the field outweighs the good that they do on it.
3) If there are board members leaking stories to Caroline "Dreadful" Wilson then they should go to. Apart from her limited vocabulary Caro is a good journalist but she was the mouth peice of the AFL leading up to Black Friday and the last person we should be doing favours to.

We need solidarity, at the board level, in the football department and in the playing group. Those who can't live up to that should get a new hobby.

From the article:

Quote:
........... decision-makers at Carlton should bear in mind that for all this club has lost in recent years, it should fight to preserve its self-respect — a self-respect that was not evident for several damaging minutes last Thursday at the third table from the stage in Telstra Dome's Victory Room.

nuff said!!!

Fev looks like he's out the door and we're officially stuffed for the next few years.

Whitnall can walk. He's been paid superstar money while playing like a nuffy, and now that he's going to be paid what he's worth he cracks the shits and threatens to piss off.

The Club is bigger than any Individual... St Kilda off loaded both Spider and Hall and are now staring at a Grand Final Loss...

I'm sure if necessary we could offload both Lance and Fev and this would not hinder our climb back to the top. We are at least 3 years away from success and in that time we might be able to find suitable replacements for both these players , and indeed new players that would be a better fit to our club as a whole.

Talented they are but sometimes its not just about talent... Pity but i know the club will do what they think is best and i for one will support the decision they make.

Hate to lose you but if you're gone prepare yourself, beacuse you are then part of the enermy...
