wins = less debt.

next year there are 8 guns.. we finish outside the 8, we get one anyway.
we finish inside the 8, debt becomes less serious.
That's as simple as I can make it.
Simple explanation for a simple mind. :P

Y?es but its not about that... youre not going for anything whilst youre caving in to has beens... in fact what youre doing is educating playeers to stick to their guns and they will get their money...
Youre also sending out the message that you can be mediocre and you dont have to be accountable or have any sense of responsibility and youll see out your days well fed and bathed at the CFC...

But then again Joshua... you learn from a brain like Larry A... while you5r father spoon feeds you and your mama makes your bed for you.. and you pretend you know what youre talking about as you squeeze another pimple out at the mirror.. (that your mum cleans for you)

Wouldnt hav4e the foggiest about the world and how it spins...
debt grows with more nothing years.
debt decreases only when the team has talent..

Like StKilda where they make their 3rd million dollar profit in a row..

While we have to watch Campo Kouta Lance run around again.....

I would have thought the club would have learnt from their mistakes with trading for experienced players? Grant isn't a hasbeen but doesn't deserve to be rewarded for an AA season, his career and Norm Smith medal at our expense.

If we go down this path again and acquire another 28 year old (29 in April) when the money should be directed at Bartel, Salopek or even Power.Well, we deserve to be bottom when this guy's reaches the end of the road and Salopek or Bartel are peaking.Even the "contract hungry" Lappin was AA just last year and should be given the money he's earned but not three years.

Weve spoken to Grant doesnt mean were going to take him.

my info is were only going after kids... but after the last 2 weeks who knows what this club will do to hold on to the edge of the pool....

All i have to say is they better show some leadership.... or it really is a club with nothing going on, on and off the field....

Have to agree with Tyrants and Synbad...the news from the media about re-signing certain players appears to be a softening of the so called hardline approach and you have to wonder where we are heading and if we have a PLAN at all.
Agree with Synbad on Kouta..we need a new captain for the new era..

Mick re: the stkilda model...saints are soft through lack of experience unlike battle hardened swans line up.. but they still have a talented list that will go close next year especially if they can add some harder players and a coach with some nous...

Re signing Campo is a mistake and Lance should be on the meat market at trade time to see what we can get..rushing in to sign these two is madness...surely Pagan and Hughes need some bait like Whitnall to at least give them options?

Grant for Lappin??....swings and roundabouts...

Lift your game Blues administrators and and get serious..start walking the walk rather than talking the talk ....West Coast are looking at a turn around of eleven years if they win the flag....which is higher than the expected average...where are we?

I would never ever consider giving up my membership but if they back down from this so-called hardline approach I'm very seriously contemplating it or at least downgrading it.

Cancerale is one that has to go, what we're doing offering him a deal I have no idea why. Ditto Whitnall.

Tyrant you have nailed every point perfectly.
Why are we going to water now?, I'm seriously worried about our finances. :?
I'd rather lose every game and go and see Bentick, Waite, Simpson, Carraz, Murphy, Russell, Bryan, give everything for their mates and the club than win four games, and see Campo, Kouta, Whits, and Fev waste our time and money and play with no soul just heavy back pockets.

My dream result would be.......

Lappin stays for two years on money thats fair o both player and club.
Campo - Goneski for whatever we can get pick 70 if need be
Lance - Goneski for anything more than a first round pick
Fev - Tell him next year is his last year if he does not shape up he is goneski as well
Kouta to be replaced as captain by T Bird
Salopak yes
Grant on 600,000.00 no way
Goddard to come home

Synners , GWS and anyone else in the know is there any chance that the club is planning to do the things we need it to do but just playing daggers and drakes

Love your work.
Differance would be I would keep Campo unless we got 3rd or 4th round. If we have to keep him play him back pocket ALL year and if he moves so much as an inch from his man we drag him, then drop him for a week or two
I would have Campo replaced by Waite as Vice Captain as well.

What's the obsession with getting Goddard here? He'd need at least 2 years to undo all the damage St Kilda's done to him, IF he was any good in the first place.

There are alot of mixed signals coming from the club.
The board is divided on Fev.. anything good and Fev is gone as long as we can talk him into leaving.
Lance is a couple of days away from a new 2 year contract.
Campo will remain at the club... NO nibbles from other clubs.
Lappin is doubtful to be here... will be gone in my opinion.
Im not saying Grant is a Monty to be here next year he does not fit the youth profile.. but we have spoken to him...and he is holding out against North.. and alot of things the club has done recently are backflips.. so who knows?

If Campo's out of contract, and we're not getting any nibbles from other clubs, is there really any importance about keeping him? Just because no-one else wants him, if he's not wanted at Carlton, is no reason to keep him on.

so next year we have what? lance the backman - so where does he play - third tall? So teague is gone. Second tall - what CHB - yeah right good teams will quiver at the one, FB - hah! I dare them!

We have Campo in the backpocket - a position a kid could easily take - if no one biytes then let him go. For flowers sake Carlton get a spine! If I thought campo taught our kids something i'd be all for it - but he doesn't he stands there, one hand on his hip, the other hand pointing to his @#$%&! man free thirty meters ahead!

And Kouta as capt! well that's working a treat isn't it! Jesus lets just lay down and let everyone kick the shit out of us.

If this happens then this club is gutless and I am disgusted. Lance does not deserve a reward, he deserves to be traded for a good player and an excellent draft pick.

If Fev goes so be it, but if Fev goes and Campo/Lance stays then this club is stuffed.

If Lappin goes then this club is cheap.

I thought we had moved on.

I thought we were finally embracing the system, embracing our plight, working towards being strong again.

But if we do this its the same old chicken shit disguised with a new name.

I think maybe Syticks should just leave the club. Ditto Collo and ditto pagan if we go down this safe, worn and ultimately dead end track.

I am pissed off.

Oh to be a fly on the wall at the board meeting on Tuesday...

If these overpaid prima donnas are kept I'm going to spew. I'd rather get Grant than Camporeale - a year younger and at least playing well and kicks goals if the price is right. I'd do a straight swap no problems.

I'm getting floopin' sick of this garbage and these signals from the club. I normally do not get abusive but this has gone too far.

As many people on this thread have said we need to create a new dynasty for the reason that our 2000 dynasty has all but gone (wiggins, sporn etc). I think the club shouldnt give into player demands because its not like we loose anything of value if they do go! We are last as it is we cant get relegated into the VFL.
The club should not make any short cuts in creating the team for the next 10 years. Im reffering to picking up half decent finished players eg 1 of the Scott Brothers. He will just deny a spot to a young player. We need to make foundations for the young playing group. No more rejects from other clubs just talented youth.
