Michael Sexton, all the way.

Does T-Bird remind anyone else of him sometimes?

I'll be chuffed if Thornton becomes as reliable as Sexton was.

Ooh, I reckon Christou and Sexton would be pretty disappointed to be classified as 'non stars'

Played 150+ and 200+ games for the blues respectively, both premiership backmen in one of the best backlines we've ever assembled.

But RON DE'UILIO on the other hand... Now THERE'S a cult-hero non-star... Loved the way he took on one opponent, then another, then... coughed the ball up. Brilliant entertainment.

The hardest position to play is CHF.Rob Walls and Mark Maclure were both triple premiership players in the hardest gig in footy. How good is that ! Both hugely underated champs in my book.

Tony Southcombe (circa 1976) - greatest pair of goggles seen in football. His nickname would be 'Google' Southcombe in the current internet age.

Indeed. 8)

Was mind blowing seeing him on Fox Footy's Vault a few weeks ago...how different was the game back then?

Can't go past Mario Bortollotto. Dual premiership player in 81 & 82.

Ross Ditchburn and Richard Dennis...Ditchburn was the most accurate kick I have seen play for Carlton and Dennis was the early version of Brad Fisher....great mark for his inches..both underated...

David Dickson on the wing was another..ex VFA player..played for Preston and was a stylish wingman....underated but i thought he was very classy..No 27 from memory...went on to be a very good under age coach and may have even sent a few players to the Blues..ended up at Noble Park and may still be coaching somewhere of note today...

What about Robbie Klomp?

He was in the 82 team wasn't he?

Dickson coaches Vic Metro when the Championships are on.

This is a great thread... no-one abusing anyone else - yet.

As an Italian my cult favorite had to come from the community so Ronnie is a fave, Marcou don't know where his family was from, but sounded Italian so I rated him highly too when I was a little tacker. When I was about 10 or 11, David "Chickenlegs" Glascott and a young Peter Dean did a footy clinic with us in the school holidays. So I had a softspot for both of them too...

A guy called Mccormick or debut with Delulio against the bears at Carrara in 91.Was super courageous think he got knock out in this game

If we had a thread for most underated player I would go for McConville.Awesome mark for a guy at 6 foot great footy smarts and a guy who when we chucked into the forward line nearly always delivered.I cried when he went to Linton St

Reckon that might have been Paul McCormack, from Dandenong in the then VFA if I remember correctly.

Timmy Rienits and Adrian Bassett from the same era used to keep me amused too - screaming out GO THE HOUND in a drunken stupor every time Bassett got the ball was fun, Remember him taking a mark while sitting on his arse in the Lygon St goalsquare of Princes Park one day - piss funny.

Does Mil Hanna count as a non-star? Loved him.... GO THE CRANIUM

Bruce Reid was always good value, if only for the rumbling of 'Rieeeeeed' that come from the crowd everytime he had the footy.

Can't go past Spiro Kourkoumelis and Steve Da Rui.

Brendan Parker from the early '90's. Could've been anything, and then copped a shocking injury that ended his career.
