Ah, the old 3-fifths of 5-eighths of fuck-all rule, eh?

Where's the commitment, team? :o

You're sounding a bit croaky Deano.

:x that they don't have the nouse to have an intra-club game on the weekends.
More supporters should have been out there, but there were about 150 anyway .. a top day! Let's hope it marks the start of a top year.
Good to meet Deano and KaptKout too. Might show my true roots and get my head on here with MY bulldogs hat from 1991
Anyhoo, good to be part of this and hope to be a happier Blue in 06

Don't worry, it's not just confined to geography. I have had many a "discussion" about football with guys who, when it gets too difficult they ask how many games I've played. Apparently I couldn't possibly understand anything about football because I haven't played before.

Sounds like a nasty cough Harford.
I've heard there's a specialist in Newcastle.

The practice match in Shepparton last year was on a Tues IIRC, so a Monday game isn't out of the ordinary. I had to knock off a couple of hours early to get to it last year.

Mate, when it comes to Footy I'm as tragic as they come! It was excellent to meet you guys as well .. knowing there are more like-minded followers of a proper footy team in this fair city has made my footy-supporting life easier to live ..

Now if only they can invent a way of getting a degree-course done and watching at least one game a week of footy my life will be complete!

Carn the (fkkn) Blues!!!

I think in this instance we can lay the blame on the location in the lap of the AFL not the club...the AFL organises all of this.

As for developing the game...I would think a RL enclave would be a good place to try...although not necessarily a friendly one!

You're 100% right there, Caz. Going into RL-friendly areas is probably a good way to do it, but not on a Monday, for heaven's sake. It might have been OK a fortnight ago when it was still school hols....

I thought the Club might have a say in it in some way shape or form....

Agree the match should have been a weekend one, but making the visit after school hols allowed the players to have a captive audience at all the primary schools they visited, which from what I hear were quite a few....
