I'd like Judd to play on - I think he could still give us plenty on and off field.
Carrazzo and McLean should join Duigan and Scotland in the great green fields beyond. That frees up a fairly sizable chunk of coin.
Go to Boyd's manager and engineer a trade request. "Trade me to Carlton now or I walk for nothing at the end of my contract". We offer our first pick and Walker to GWS.
Go to WCE and open negotiations for Gaff. Start with a straight swap for Lucas and go from there.
I'd entertain offers for Kruezer and Warnock and, depending what we could get, would happily trade.
So we lose Lucas, Duigan, Scotland, McLean, Carrazzo, Walker and get Boyd, Gaff and the opportunity to lure potential free agents with whatever is left over.
Ballsy. Not even going to put Sporn and Beasy on the table. Fair bit of faith shown in this list.
If this draft is as weak or uninspiring as has been discussed, we sort of can't afford to have a top pick, as silly as that sounds. We need stand out, generational type players.
As for GWS: plenty of talent, not enough spots. We need to do whatever we can to lure one of Cameron, Patton or Boyd. Cameron is far and away the best at this point, whilst Boyd looks to have more long term potential than Patton. If we dispense with the players listed the kitty should be great enough to turn the young man's head.
The Eagles are in a bit of a flux like we are, where they aren't particularly good and could be ordinary for years to come. If Gaff can be enticed home we flick Lucas and, essentially, get a much better version of him in return. Now, because Lucas is pretty pants, we may need to throw in a sweetener in the form of a pick or whatever.
Longer term we need to look at a defender, but if we were to grab a forward we could play Henderson back until such a time comes that we can leave him there by securing another forward (to replace Waite).
I should clarify I'd not trade BOTH Kruezer and Warnock.
