Hey! Lance, Kouta and Camporeale showed great leadership in those games and the status quo deserves to be maintained!

I don't think the Saints, Richmond and Hawthorn had a backlash once their fans realised their club had to do it to move forward. But we seem to be thinking about today rather than tomorrow and another Wizard Cup win!

Yeah that smells like the case but there is no better opportunity to use the system than they have right now...
The club should seriously get rid of these guys and replace them with kids for the next 2 years.. bring the salary payments down to 92.5 % min .. get Denis to take a pay cut and ask for a grant from the AFL... in the meantime spend every dime on developing the kids we will be picking up through the draft......

Its time the club looked into the future instead of day to day...

Problem is Juzz I dont necessary disagree with the slash and burn approach but the problem I see with it . I have yet to see it work. St Kilda took the approach to get rid of Everitt and Hall - both were more head cases than anything . Hall straightened himself out away from the spot light and Everitt matured with age. St Kilda for all its talent if they had those two guys in last night they would be playing in a premiership.

Ours is a different scenario for the first time in the clubs history money is an issue = they are running scared and dont want to make the tough decisions . I know we all post different opinions on this site but we want what is best for the club. Come what may be the end of this drafting period the club will have need to have made a statement otherwise we are excepting that coming last is a satisfactory outcome

All i want is Campo gone even Whits does more though we need to make a stand and he has to play on our terms maybe then Lance will continue to play at a decent level than revert back to i have a good pay packet lance.

Campo on the other hand pay him more and he will continue to take soft ball receives and credit himself with stats pay him poorly and he will grumble and carryon bringing all the kids down with him.

With Campo only 2 options trade or chuck him in the PSD push his price up in the PSD and then hope that the Pies are stupid enough to grab him lol

I even think remove Campo and the rest of the list will be better if Whits and Lappin also go i belive there will be positives ... but if Lappin and WHits stay we will be better if Campo is not in the side to cause disharmony and feed into the list a culture of its my turn now.

I hate being a cynic but one of the problems we have with these blokes is Sticks being Lances mentor.. and Campos business partner.

He has too much say in the footy department issues.
He is a catayst at bringing both OReilly to the club "one of the best full backs i ever played on"...

...and Stevo.. (which was good)

In my opinion he shoukd not have 2 hats... board and Footy department...

He is compromised and his influence is potentially fatal.

I dont care about losses .. even if we go to the AFL for a handout while we get all this right....!!!!

I think we are all big enough to give the club time to get itself sorted out properly instead of allowing it to be paralysed with fear.. too scared to go forward because of short term perceptions.

Its going to take time and we are not 2 players short of playing finals footy like a senior official told me!!!!!
Thats a club either trying to fool me.. or fooling itself...!!!

but i thought Lance was gone Synners.. please explain :-D . Whits could be an all australian backman next year ireckon.

that would be what a backflip is MCB...the club looks to have backed down from it's hard-line stance, probably due to lack of interest from elsewhere.

All Australian backman is what Larry says he will be if we keep him.... but you know what???

Larry has no clue about footy!!!

And ill bet you right here right now.. $200 to TC sponsorship that Lance will NOT be an AA defender come 2006..!!!

Put your money where your mouth is Joshua...!!!!
Game????

Maybe the club IS thinking longer term and by hanging onto overpaid hasbeens we are gauranteed early access to next year's "superdraft"

Very very dissapointed in the backflip

Good point maybe we trade whitnall next year and get a better younger player... Whitnall isnt part of Carltons winning future and if he is he wont be our focal key position Player. Unless we can create a new Hamill to partner with him

Synbad,

What backflip! It has only ever been you that has stated Lance, Campo etc will be gone at year's end.

When did the club state this? When has any official statement come from the club that supports your views?

It is your barrow that has been de-railed - the club may not be doing the right thing in your view but that doesn't creat a backflip.

Now that something TOTALLY opposite to your views seems imminent you try to blame the club & say that it has backfliiped.

What a load of bullshit.

More underhanded trickery trying to convince others that you were correct all along and that now it is the club "backflipping" rather than your guesswork not coming true!

OR... THE MAN actually told me himself theyre gone...
A couple of days before the Hawthorn game...

Thats trickery is it???

Not trying to convince anybody because...
I stated this before Collo told everyone Whitnalls contract will not be looked at before the end of season.. and hes had enough!!!...
Over and above that...The club were going to trade him and keep Fev... thats why they signed Fev....!!! 3 months ago...
Its also common knowledge that F3v has been playing injured.
I also know if board members favouring Fev over Lance.. and there are now board members favouring Lance over Fev...

The backflip also that the players will accept what was offered or its off the table.. (Part of a hard line stance) AGREED??? It was public and all...
Lance was offered 300k.. he wants 400k... now the club and Lance have negotiated further..bringing him up closer if not to 400k plus...

The club stated in the media and also to people like myself and SOMEBODY ELSE FROM TC was there...that the players have been given contracts and:" if they dont accept its see ya later!!!".. the club has had enough of "gold diggers",,, who wont accepot what the club feels is fair and reasonable....

Now how is that not a backflip mate???

You tell me how the last couple of weeks are not a backflip.. or im bullshitting???

Now if i accused your post as BANANAS youd probably cry wouldnt you???

Stuff is happening.. and its wrong!!!

Its wrong that board members believe were better off without FEVOLA a couple of MONTHS after they signed him in good faith because they believe he makes them cringe....

The truth is the board members and the club has NO PROFILE... and without FEVOLA it would be a boring , shitty club going no where with no presence off the field and a failure on it....

The boring sods on the board who are pushing to get rid of Fevola and keep Lance have no idea how they will take thius club further into mediocrity with that push....

Were a boring faceless club and whether you like Fav or hate Fev he has people talking about us....

Now lets see Lance on the footy show.... (he is more suited to TAB promos)

And let me assure you that the leadership debate is a huge concern at the club.. so much so that one of the things the recruiting people must take into account is LEADERSHIP!!!!

and if you read back your post about leadership its the most stupid answer given by anyone on any match committee about leadership!!!

"Were not disastisfied with the leadership(Not saying theyre satisfied).. but we take the view that if the players cant lead themselves theyre not leaders either".. or WHATEVER you reported!!!!

Thats pathetic!!!!.. and if you cant see what a pathetic, foolish, ridiculous answer that was .. we deserve to be a shit side FOREVER!!!!!!

Fancy saying Walker Betts Thornton Simmo Carazzo Waite have to lead themselves or theyre not leaders.... and in the same breath talk about youth and "not disatisfied with the leadership"

Did they say they WERE SATIFIED with the leadership"????

Its just weak!!!!

Its piss weak!!!!!

No ifs ,,,,,,,no buts.. its a backflip and it is pathetic!!!!!

Thats where our players get their inspiration....!!!
A board that is frozen by FEAR....

and by the way we came last with the least amount of injuries...!!!!!!

This is not a club that can afford stupidity!!!!!!!
Dont you dare tell me when im misleading and when im not misleading ............

regardless of whether or not Lance is a leader, the only leading Fev would do would be down the wrong track. Lance is only a year older than Fev, it's not like Fev is 20... he's 25 and will be 26 next year....and he is still having his tantrums... the club, if they are fed up, are justified. Lance had a stellar season, Fev, for all his talent, also had his usual games where he had his negative impact. There is no doubting Fev at his best is a far better prospect than Lance, far better, but will we ever see Fev at his best. Or will something continue to irk him.. granted, Lance is NOT a CHF.. you were right about that, but he will make a dam fine backman, and could marshall the plays from halfback... as well as organize the defence has Hartlett etc come into it.

See Joshua ... you talk crap....

And Lance is a nothing player who was allowed to run around free by the opposition coaches because they were thrashing us by 100 points....

Does anyone really believe they will allow Lance to do what he did for a few games this year.. next year of tey get serious with us?????

If we are that DUMB to keep him.. we deserve our decade of misery because we cant let go into the future.

No matter what Ockham's Razor says in his two hour listen to someone from the MC... because ive spoken to people from the MC... even Denis over a few occasions THIS YEAR..

And its a backflip... but im hoping its a furffy or ill be seriously pissed off with the heirarchy of this club....
