Lose to Richmond next week and we should seriously consider cutting the cord during the bye week. It's perfect timing to give everyone an extra week to reset.

Our Coleman Medallist is one of the worst offenders.

Our dual brownlow medallist ain't far behind him :donk:

Our forward structure is pathetic, they have done nothing over summer and that is just the beginning.

Our forward structure is shit, however we look dangerous enough in there. When we get it in there that is. We are shit at set shots, and missed so many easy ones in the 1st qtr.

We do need another marking forward for sure, as Harry looks like he has come out drunken from a bar at the moment. He looks unkept and dishevelled. Hope he is ok, but he has no life or bounce in him anymore.

The issue is our midfield, as it was going out of their for them at a rate of knots. You cant defend that.

Dominated the first half of footy and found no space forward of the centre. Same old, same old.
Got dominated in the 2nd half through the midfield and had no answers. Kept trying to play the contested ball, while they waited on the outside and got on bikes when the ball came out. Same old, same old.
Started at the selection table!

23 entries for 2 goals apparently.
FMD leave the forward line open and just put Harry one on one, not that difficult.

Lets just face it. Voss cannot coach, and cannot extract the best out of this group.

This is why i dont like sacked coaches. They were sacked for a reason.

Voss is not the smartest tool in the shed. How long can we keep on going on like this, for the sake of appeasing the media? The media want us to be shit. Why cant we understand this?

The media are turning on us like rabbid dogs and we deserve it.

The AFL treat us like shit and we let them. Why did we in our right mind agree to play this game in Sydney against Sydney. With Curnow the rock star. Why do we do this to ourselves ?

We never win there and of course they are up and about with their rock star. And of course they rattled us and it got spicy. We are weak is pizz so they plastic phonies of Sydney knew they would get under our skin.

We just are not powerful. Where is my powerful Carlton. Its not the club i so so loved in the 80's. But neither is the AFL, the mighty VFL either.

Can’t see the live for McGovern, fogarty, hollands, Williams, not automatic selections

I was not expecting a win at the SCC, our youngsters lost steam in the third quarter and skills become deplorable.
Outclassed in all aspects, however one shouldn't be surprised given the personal CFC had on the park , a long way to go, we need another rebuild over next 2 to 3 years at least, reckon we should begin asap
Vossy has got to be cut loose when politically acceptable.

Heard a snip of the Doc phone in, with regard the contest off problem he mentions i guess Leigh Adams now has to address it, but it feels like a personnel thing with lack of pace, no spread/two way run after losing the contest? Is he saying we get to inside the contest and if we lose the first contest (e.g. we lost 3rd qtr contested -10) the oppo get out and we have no outside cover and sag back too deep in defence and make acres of unmanned space for them to run into between the mids and backs? We seem to have no plan for this and Swans/Lions etc type sides toy with us.

Docherty was just as bad as Charlie as far as back stabbing the Coach goes .

Docherty has been sticking the boot in since he retired. I don't really care what he has to say to be honest.
He and Gorringe are good mates anyway.

Never cared what he had to say. Cancer survivor doesn't make you a good bloke.

Docherty was sticking the boots into Voss when he was there . It wasn't just Charlie talking around corners .

It's exactly the issue. We play a contested footy and if we don't win - we have no cover or outside cover. It's all in ONE way!!!

No issue with telling it like it is. Doesn't make you a bad bloke. Wouldn't be hard to guess that he might be right and you don't want to hear it.

For several seasons now, I've tuned in to pre season games looking for something different only to be left dejected with the same tactics that hadn't work previously.

To their credit this year, the have changed (albeit forced upon) things up a fair bit. Different tactics, new players/coaches, new enthusiasm. For those reasons, I believe they deserve a little grace to try and make it work.

Last night, most rational people didn't expect to beat the Swans at a venue that we historically struggle at. That first half we showed some great signs that we may have turned a corner but, that capitulation (embarrassment) simply can't be ignored, grace period or not. What worried me the most was the concern and lack of answers from Voss in the post game presser.

Now we're faced with 3 very winnable games where a repeat of last night cannot happen again... or else the media will come for their scalp.

Time and a place I reckon, jim. After a Round 0 loss against a team that has a list to make the top 4 Vs a team that will be closer to the bottom 4 is probably not the right time.

Is he right? I dunno, I didn't hear it. But the game will revert back to a contested brand before too long and won't be played much in subtropical conditions.
