Its like alot of other things in life... they change.
Its a young persons world. Everybody always is replaced by younger people with fresh ideas.

And if we are foolish enough to wait 3 more years of this just because he has a 3 year contract we might as well close up shop now.

If Brisbane start to free fall as I expect they will in the coming years is it a case that Leigh Matthews is finished as a coach or is it just the normal cycle of a football club?
What about in two years time they decide to get a new coach, Lethal has had enough. Akers gone, Voss is gone, Lappin's gone, Leppa's gone, Michael is on his last legs. Power and Black can't cope any more because the opposition only has to chop out those two players (Fab 2 not Fab 5). There's more ... then the AFL says you are virtually banned from the next two drafts.

Now people can predict that Fev is close to chucking a big wobbly in the next few weeks. Can someone give me an indication as to how long it will take for Brisbane to get back on their feet again?
How many years will it take Brisbane to get back?

```````have you ever looked in a supermarket woof?
Last time we spoke you said Hartlett is not inujury prone.
This time youre telling me you dont understand what a used by date is.
My quote on Hartlett in Jarusa's post about development of young players and the stats that went with it was that (my view only), HARTLETT would be playing in our senior team if he WAS NOT injured. My works finished.
If you can be bothered to prove me wrong that's fine. I don't think you will though simply because you can't.
I too have questioned the development of our players and the speed of that development. But perhaps there are some players who just won't amount to anything resembling a decent footballer.
Question how would the Wiggins, Sporn, Livo's, Davies, etc have developed at Ess, Coll (Sheeds & Malthouse - from the old school)?
How would their development of been at Adelaide, Sydney (Craig & Roos -the new school)?
One can only speculate but I hardly think they would be setting the world on fire.
Having said that i am not convinced that we are doing everything possible to develop and fast track our players.
and what do you base that on?
Nothing in particular. I just feel that some players will only be so so no matter how much effort is put into their development. Having said that others strike me as having huge upside but we may not have the process in place to realise this.
I dont see how someone like Ben Johnson is a better footballer skill wise or anything wise than Wiggo or Sporn are.
I dont see how Prestigiacomo has anything more than a height advantage over Livo... or Watts at North for instance..
Or Swan...
Or Fiora ...
Or Gram...
Its all about development.. and we just have not done that properly in the past.
I'm woof not woofy. I don't go to other forums.
Hartlett is injury prone. If he was not injured he would have lined up in the seniors round 1.
I never tell people they don't know what they are talking about I just pick holes in their posts.
Do you add any insights of significance though or do you just pick holes?
Because you sound like a great opposition leader....
I have only just started here and I'm feeling my way. Someone the other day posted that a guide to someone's intelligence on this forum can be measured by the number of posts they have made (Sydney Pooh I mean Blue).
I hope I don't become just another opposition leader but a viable alternative. But maybe just maybe you have to have 3000 plus posts next to your name to have any creditibility.
Feeling your way
Dont you me feeling yourself :roll:
and by the way my coment was in regards to your intellect it was in regards to you telling Tyrant to go somewhere else when you have only been here for 5 minutes and tyrant lives here.
But I thought a man of your so called super intellect would have worked that out.
Next time I will make it simple for you to understand
So we are blaming Denis for Wiggins, Sporn, Livo and who else?
I reckon each time a kid fails.. its Denis fault.. they dont enter the club unable to play footy... they just leave that way.
After all they did get drafted.....they did do ok under Brittain as younger kids.
The problem is they stayed the same.
Add Davies to that list and god knows who else..
Are you serious? Next we blame Denis for Angwins flawed charachter (oops, somebody already has). I have no problem discussing Pagan, but some of the stuff in this thread is really over the top.
