Ainsworth won't move the needle much IMO and turns 28 next year.

We probably start the draft with Picks 21, 25, 27, 30, 45 (might go back to dons) and 54 (plus 2026 picks north's 2nd rd, swans 1st, own 1st).

I am guessing picks 21 and 25 get eaten by a Dean bid and maybe even part of 27 - its hard to say with all the matching picks. So our first pick is around 30. Then we have points to match ison after that. If we are lucky we may have a spare pick or two which we can trade into the future.

Drewgirl, we simply need the extra points to match the Dean and Ison bids and then perhaps get a late 20s pick for ourselves. Same strategy as Lions and Suns have used recently. Also getting an extra 2nd next year is good too.

Besides, after three years of development for a key defender who’s touted as a possible top 5 pick I can’t see why he wouldn’t be worth “practically nothing” by then.
