Who'd have thought that someone with such an esteemed history as Barks would make such a tool of himself

Not to worry, Tyrants. We won't be playing them again despite my 10 apology posts to them. Seems Barks wants to me to do all sorts of things just so he can make me look like a flower in front of everyone.

Don't worry John... they approach that game in a typical St.Kilda way. Any win is good, even a hollow one.

BRING ON THE OTHER BOARDS. LET SS CAME BACK WITH APOLOGIES AND PROMISES TO PLAY IN THE RIGHT SPIRIT

Just like you deano at least I`m consistent 8)

The thing that pissed me off JUST TO CLARIFY was PJ going onto HH and posting a thread saying SS are F*^&^#@ cheats and DO NOT PLAY THEM!

Even PJ acknowledges that this was wrong!

It really pissed me off big time!

Mostly because you guys were all fantastic yesterday and it came as a huge surprise to read such a thing!

The actual effort by the guys that did show was tremendous!

I also hope you all realise by now that we took our better players off in the last quarter just so some kids could run around ( not one got a touch ) and the girls just wanted to stay out there after they were told to come off!
Basically we knew the result was not in doubt and we just wanted to give some very very young kids a go!

WE WERE NOT CHEATING!

Also remember we played 16 guys and two girls against 18 guys for two whole quarters!

If I was one of you guys I`d be more pissed off with the poor turnout from 3 websites and about 10 guys who said they`d be coming not turning up!

Anyway I`d like all this bad blood to be gone> except with deano, that can continue please 8) and I wish you all the best for your next game and if you`re playing bomberblitz I`ll come along and cheer you guys on!

btw old blue stager put in an excellent display 8)

yeah, the umpiring was excellent. he did a very fair and good job, and did very well to keep up with the play. he is fitter and more consistent than matty richardson...

great day had by all, cant wait for the next...

Would certainly like to get some more new blood into the side.

I think over the past few games where new blokes rock up and play, have been fairly successful and have gone on to be big contributors for the side. Names that spring to mind are Chris, Clint, Nick, Nicko, Bull and The Shag.

We always seem to pick up a few gems along the way and it helps when they are pretty keen to play again in future matches.

So for any blokes out in the TC world who haven't played before and would like to play please put your name down for the match against BomberBlitz.

i cant believe im at work. burnt to a crisp and limping like a clown. ridiculous, but you know what. even though we didnt have a win, i'd do it all again, made me realise how much i have been missing playing the game and have since dropped aline to both north coburg and pascoe vale footy clubs seeing if i can get a game in '06.

singin---and they were BEAUTIFUL passes at that brother.....lace out...right on the tit.....but lets not forget the strong leading that made them possible :-D ... i was wondering who that was that played the jerker jenkins role yesterday, theres my answer.

maybe instead of just sorting out one match we could tee up for a series of matches over 5 or 6 weeks, maybe with a week off in between each one....is this too ambitious......?

and agreed on stager, he's probably fitter than some of our squad, me for sure.

and sorry about not making it for a few brews after the game, i was spewin i couldnt make it, next time for sure.

sounds like a plan bnz...

maybe after christmas we could have a tournament??

play every team once, and whoever has the most wins gets a trophy of some kind....possibly cammo.
if there is a tie for wins it goes down to points scored or points scored against.....something to think about.

With due all respect, that was a pathetic effort, a total embarrasment...

How Can u logically explain reading more than 40 names who nominated themseleves to play, only for 16 to turn up???

i reckon every person who didnt turn up, should apologise to the rest, apart from those who withdrew beforehand or had emergency situations......

Was gonna say!

Yeah, you're right. Very disappointed that they didn't turn up. 24 hours later and I still haven't been given a reason as to why. Most of the absentees are from CSC.

It was just a real shame because three positions that we always seem to struggle to fill adequately in ruck, CHF and CHB, looked as though they were going to be filled this time around hence why I was genuinely excited about this match. I guess I should have known better when the absentees mate over at CSC hadn't given me an answer in the during last week.

I've apologised profusely and yet I am still hammered with the same shit from Barks again and again and again and how I still don't get it. His attitude towards this is like a pitbull - he just won't drop it. So, I propose we don't play against them again. I'm sure they'll agree on that as well.

Just what the flower have you apologised for????

yeah, I'm in favour of a few matches in a stretch... even a month apart or something, so we can squeeze in more binge drinking weekends....

Personally, I'd love to play a team like North or Melbourne (or even HH) to get my eye in before an Essendon* or Collingwood match.

Look, I reckon I could get at least 1 person to come along to the next game. My brother-in-law has mentioned a few times now that he's keen. And my roommate knows a few fanatical Carlton supporters who seem large and might be keen.

"Networks"... I'll bring my five mates and we'll......
